Usman has been winning fight after fight. Wanting to get top guys. Your pay changes dramatically once you fight for the belt and or become champion. As a champion not only does your purse increase, you also get PPV points. Aside from that, We all know Masvidal became very popular after the askren knockout. More people will want to see him fighting whoever, therefore the person he fights, will make extra money, especially if they beat him because the fight will get more ppv buys, Usman rightfully so deserves big fights, this is that big fight. Also, I think Usman wants Colby to be one of his last few fights because he knows how good he is, but ultimately he can beat him so why not build up Usman vs Covington 2 by beating up the rest of the division until The ufc automatically books Colby vs Usman 2 which will have a presser, and extra promotion behind it, making it more than likely Usman’s biggest pay day, which I’m sure retirement will come shortly after that unless he feels the need to go against Khamzet at some point.

I think its HILARIOUS that people think that Usman can't stand with Jorge and HAS to wrestle him. Jorge MIGHT beat him standing up, but the fight would 100% be competitive on the feet. I've said it a million times, Usman can compete with ANYONE ANYWHERE in the fight. That's why he's so good, because he SO well rounded. And he's proven it asl.

@@frosty2.010 Usman can't compete with ANYONE on the feet, can Usman strike with Wonderboy for 25 mintues? If Usman can strike with Masvidal then why didn't he did it in the first fight? Usman is a good striker but he ain't a elite striker. Masvidal isn't levels above Usman but he certainly is the better striker and it would be very dumb from Usman to try to prove something to the fans and strike with Masvidal if he can just easily wrestle fuck him for 25 minutes
