That's what UFC misses sometimes, proper high level jiu jitsu. It's exciting shit. Most of the grapping exchanges are wrestling exchanges. But at the same time, maybe guys are just so high level these days that it's hard to get some good jiu jitsu popping off
@monkeyboy275bobo8
@monkeyboy275bobo8 3 жыл бұрын
@@DoyleSnortsShit I mean we saw what happened. That guillotine was as good as it gets, infact it was pretty scary how fast Brian transitioned from knocking him down to sinking in that submission. And still it wasnt enough and he ended up exhausted on the receiving end of some hard ground and pound. And he put years into these skills. The problem is people got too good in defending groundgame at least on the highest level. I cant think of any champion right now that you could just take down and keep there to use bjj. So thats probably why fighter mostly focus on ground and pound instead of bjj.

I wish there was an audio option to turn off only commentary because I still wanna hear the impact of the strikes etc but the commentary really can sway how you view things. Also wish there was a way to stop the unofficial stats from showing cos they're all over the place too. It'd be fine if the unofficial stats were always close to correct or at least consistantly way off. But sometimes they're bang on, sometimes they're no where near and it makes it impossible to judge anything with them as a basis.

I know he said it as a joke but he is right the UFC should review that incident on the 3rd round where Ortega gets helped up by his team on the stall and declare it a TKO on 3rd round as that is a law you can’t do that and they got to set a precedent and overturn its decision from a decision win to a TKO as teams are not allowed to do that and get away with it.

@@tustudyis4life51 As soon as Ortega didn’t succeed with them amazing submission attempts and then got battered on the ground afterwards the fight was over as he weren’t going to have the energy anymore to lock again like that. Why do the refs and trainers like shortening a fighters career and have them carry on a losing battle it’s crazy to allow him to take any more serious punishment in a fight he probably had only a 5% chance of winning if that in final two rounds. Why take that risk and cause none healable damage to try and win it now tonight etc and not think live reflect improve and fight another day. So sad to see this shit and don’t get why it don’t get criticised much more instead of saying oh wow he showed so much heart. F heart if he is going to lose an eye in the next few rounds and not have 10 more years to fight in his career as he is still only 30 years old.
