I hated Colby's gimmick at first and thought he was trying too hard but he's stuck with it through the years and I've learned to really love the character. If guys can blur that line between "professional" wrestling and actual mixed martial arts it is so great. Colby is fully filling in the shoes Chael left behind.

I wish we could’ve seen how much both of these fighters weighted in at when they walked into the cage. Colby looked significantly smaller than Usman. The difference in their upper bodies was absurd. Colby clearly was at a strength disadvantage not being able to take him down. He hit him with some good shots, but didn’t have the power to put Marty away. Colby needs to add 5-8 LBs of muscle if he wants to beat Usman down. And I believe he can if he does that

The funny thing is during one of his interviews he said his old coaching team were useless because in between rounds the only advise they gave him was to breathe. By looking at the advise he got after round 1 he might be looking for a new coaching team.

I like how when Usman was asked what was said after the fight he didn’t go into detail so that it would make more sense for Colby to keep the gimmick up. Usman just kept it short and said “oh it was just a respect thing”. Meanwhile if you go back and listen to it he just says hey man I’m just trying to make the most money I can by saying all that stuff you know that right.

I think his fighting is obviously good enough now, Dana would never cut him. Even if he stopped selling fights. He has shown incredible toughness, and Dana doesn't cut guys who have extreme toughness and durability. Colby legit has enough talent and cardio now, that his career is secure.

Was it just me that thought that Colby looked alot nervous in the walk in to the octagon? That can make your cardio alot worse, and your performance isnt What it should be. The first 2 rounds could easily been just pure nervousness. Maybe he should work on that so he is 100% ready from round one. This is not a bashing on Colby. I know When I got nervous before sporting things when I was a kid, i could barely run. It took all my energy.

never would I imagine that the UFC fanbase would switch the script on both Colby and Masvidal. Now that Masvidal took Colby's advice and pulled out of the Leon Scott fight Im really interested to see who ppl are rooting for in that fight. Tbh im going with Colby, not just because he's going to mop the floor with Masvidal but also cuz he's got a lot more heart and determination. Dude deserves another crack at the belt for sure.

You can hear the sadness in his voice, but he receives very little credit. He is a disciplined and marketable fighter.

He gets minimal credit because if his Gimmicks. No one roots for a cocky asshole specially if it isn’t natural and organic. At least Conor was genuinely a witty prick lol.

I think it did everything right except say that he has respect for usman just as a fighter. You don’t have to like him but after showing the respect in front of everyone in the octagon it makes kinda kills his act to now acknowledge that a slight bit of respect is there at least.

I think you're right, he should've acknowledge how good a fighter Usman is and THEN said "but he's cheating" instead of denying all respect for him. It seemed a bit too much, specially after that moment at the end of the fight.

His style became more exciting over time in fairness. He shouldn’t have needed to do what he did, but he sold umpteen times the amount paper views after learning to be a showman on the mic. It’s his prerogative.

Wasnt the fans bro.....UFC was kicking him out regardless of his elite talent. Colby is a fake bad guy.....the hate hurst him....its all a fake but he had to do it because trumps lap dog Dana put him in this spot. Colby should not have been gifted this fight but not for Dana forcing it.
