Dustin doesn't do well against wrestlers and grapplers. He's going to need to put Charles away with boxing alone. But Poirier is a violent, violent man. I don't think he is a very technically slick fighter, but he is just mean and nasty. This will be a real test for Charles, because if he can handle Poirier on the feet, he might be unbeatable for awhile.

Dustin turned down the title fight against Oliviera for the McGregor trilogy. Literally was offered to fight for the belt and said no so that he could get the payday fight. Not saying I’d do it differently. I guess you could argue that Conor is more elusive and if you’re the best then you can win the belt later. Gotta take the Conor fight when you can. By at the same time, something about him turning the opportunity down rubs a me the wrong way. I think other fighters want it more. Maybe Charles wants it more. And I get that wanting something doesn’t necessarily mean you deserve it. But we now for sure that turning something down means you don’t want it enough.
