Not sure Colby being entirely truthful here, Colby looked a bit unsteady at the start of the fight and he switched stances alot so maybe he did/ does have a knee injury. I thought Colby would say he was injured and then he could say he beat Jorge with one leg.

@@tclyde865 he was sluggish in the usman fight at first. If he had a knee injury, he’d rub that in Masvidal’s face. My guess is he just fights like that when he knows what the other guy has to bring on the feet. He still kept up his usual pressure, just had to be aware of what could come back at him.

Winning easy shouldn’t go the whole 25 minutes without a finish. Jorge showed heart and he didn’t give up until the end. Colby dominated and showed he’s the elite and Jorge is past his prime.

covington's level of grappling is sensational but he has no knockout power, he is almost incapable of finishing a fight before the limit. In this category, no one can beat Usman. the only question mark is Khamzat, he may be the only one but first waiting for his fight against Burns

Colby's cardio is a real weapon, he sounds like he could fight again where as Jorge sounded very tired in the octagon talking with Joe Rogan. Overall this showed me just how good Kamaru Usman must be, these 2 guys put on a good fight tonight but still can't get a win over the champ.

Jorge was dominated by both Usman and Colby, however Colby and Usman have had two wars where Colby could argue that he won both and at a minimum won two rounds in each fight. If Colby can get one more solid win I’d love to see Usman vs Colby 3

Ref told him what he did personally before round started. We did not see that happened against usman. You cant grab cage for defending takedown, you cant hit back of head multiple times , you cant eye poke and you cant hold glove in clinch. All of these things happened in second fight. Colby pound for pound better fighter than usman

I’m telling you now Colby is gonna win that belt before his career is over! Almost beat Usman twice already and many people think he won at least one of those fights. Scary thing is Colby is getting better and he is exactly where he needs to be, around a team of super respectful veterans of all mixed martial arts and they’ve changed Colby’s outlook on life/MMA very much IMO. Also, I believe he never was a bad guy to begin with but may have gotten caught up in the character a little too much at the beginning but now you see him outside of the gym/octagon ALWAYS generous and paying respect to the backbone of America…the blue collar workers of this great nation!

Colby arguably won 3 rounds in both fights against usman despite tons of fouls. He clearly smaller guy than usman. Usman is built like tank and he is heavier in cage and i am telling you colby is pound for pound better fighter than usman.

@@chaddrusso8850 very few guys in MMA history can deal with and match a pace like Colbys, it sucks for Colby because Usman is one of those maybe 5 fighters ever that can fight at that pace from round 1 to the round 5. That same pace was Fedors biggest asset. GSP did it too from time to time, just more on the grappling side.

Wrestling set up the striking. Hard to strike to your full potential when youre worried about the takedowns. Thats why i find it funny when people say stuff like Khabib is the better striker than Conor because thier last fight, Khabib put Conor on his ass and was landing more. It went out the way it did because Conor was worried about the wrestling and grappling of Khabibs. Straight stand up fighting, neither Colby or Usman is all that good. Its their over all tools that compliments the other.

Same goes for Cobly and Masvidal situation. I'm a Conor fan but he got beat too badly so does Masvidal. Fighters will make up excuse for their lost. But at the end of the day they know they got beat.
