His problem was that he didn't listen to his coach. If he had listened, he would have thrown himself more into wrestling and controlled things after the first round. From there, he could have played Khabib style, just stayed on top of his opponent, and won at the end of round 3 just because he controlled the match, and no one would have had anything to comment on. Khamzat didn't want that, he wanted to take the whole fight standing, because he underestimated Gilbert, and wanted to prove that he's not like Khabib, and that he can stand vs such monsters without fear..

When a fighter reaches 35 we’ve seen the hight of there capabilities. Not much changes after that. Usman, Colby, and Burns are all 35 or approaching. 4. Got a taste what it felt like to go through a battle, now his coaches have a lot of material to work with they didn’t have before, for improving khamzat
