Definitely had to cut more, the guy weighing him in accidently told us the truth charles was 156 then they said 155.5 to help him out but he couldn't cut 0.5lbs since that is very hard to do in general yet alone an hour, fights tend to leave that 0.5 but since he is the champion he can't get away with that. Should have focused on beating gaethje instead of putting on more weight than he is used to to focus on getting the KO/style points the W is the most important thing, hopefully he learns from this and sticks to the task next time

Correct me if i'm wrong, but should the scale thingy not move and be balanced for the weight to be read out? If you rewind to 3:05:30 and look closely, the scale does not stop at all and they still say he is 155.5. I think his team should dispute this. Edit: So I've been reading up on these scales and my assumption was correct, the thing has to stop moving. Hem ight have been over 155 even 160, he might have been 155 or lower, but the guy measuring did not do his job properly. He should have made as many adjustments as needed to have the thing balanced and the correct weight shown.

I imagined he already had a lot of trouble cutting weight to that amount as he came in last . After that he had nothing left to give .

Weird. At 18:33 the scale was moving down and he said 155.5 At 23:00 the scale was moving down and he said 156 At 12:48 for Justin the scale was STILL and he said 155. At 2:05:08 for Charles the scale was moving up and he said 156. At 2:06:40 they tried again. The scale was STILL and he said 155.5. At 3:06:00 for Charles the scale was moving up and down a lot and he said 155.5. He must be doing something wrong here. Where is the usual guy that does the weigh-ins? I get that it isn't suppose to hit the top or the bottom, but when the scale moves differently for different people and he calls out different weights each time it's just weird. Why not wait for it to be still? Do they have somewhere else they need to be? I also feel like Dana is kind of happy about this. Now he can put some star-studded guy in there. I feel like he doesn't want Justin to be champ either. Chandler vs Dustin? Maybe Conor? Either way I'll enjoy watching and I'll be entertained but I feel for Charles. Some weird Karma. 3:06:40 I’m 100 percent with DC here My god….the commission ruined the PPV for half a damn pound. Like come on, Charles put himself through hell to make the weight, half a pound should be rounded to scale error it’s not much of an advantage. This is going to cost the UFC. @@kainoakanoe You need to do some research on how this whole process works. The weigh ins are run by the Arizona state athletic commission. This is a 3rd party government agency that sanctions the event. The UFC has nothing to do with it.
