Forrest Griffin retired more than 10 years ago and Glover is the current champion of the division which Forest used to be a Champion once and both are of the same age. This just shows the heart and the spirit of Glover.

@Fayez Hraghi Agreed, LHW is definitely the weakest division in the UFC overall. I think if Jiri wins over Glover, he could hold the division for quite a while, unless Adesanya comes back for another shot at the LHW belt. His only real competition as of right now (if he beats Glover) is polish man.

@@alecbrown6667 it will be sad, but thinking about it for a sec, glover had really hard losses just getting one shoted by rumble and outclassed by gustafsson is horrible. This lose(if that happens) might not mean something to him, he already been down and never been this high, i'd guess at this point he's satisfied with his career, so we are. I like both, but if Teixeira wins, this would bring the narrative of the youngest generetion not being good as the older generation which is wrong, i don't want everyone to start riding jon cocaine jones again. Jon didn't want the smoke from this generation so he's just looking for bigger fights with high risk and high payment, not high risk low payment. I hate when fighters lives under someone's shadow

I love how happy Glover is in all of these embedded videos! Im happy he can go out on top in his career and not only be remembered for his boxing skill and for getting his arm torqued in a Jones highlight reel. The guy went from being known for his hands to now being known for his grappling/BJJ and being one of if not the oldest heavyweight champion in UFC history

I used to hate on wmma fights but since what's been going on lately i prefer them over any prelims fight. Dudes on prelims don't even want to fight it's like they only come in for the paychecks, they are either rolling on the ground for 15 minutes or jabbing each other from distance.

If mixed gender fights were ever allowed (which they wouldn’t be), I def feel like Valentina would beat the brakes off of most of the elite guys in the ufc of the same weight division. There will never be like another like her. No easy props, no girly props- she’s the real fuckin deal

Happened in America with the formula 1 Miami grand prix. Were at 3-4 thousand USD leading up and then the day of they were back down to 5-600 hundred USD. Hopefully this will happen for u🙌

Valentina at women's flyweight division has faced n defeated bums is not her fault but it is what is at this point no one in that division seems to be a problem for Valentina so probably she'll retire as the crowned champion

@@finosalas4234 Bums? Just because she makes them look bad, doesn't mean that they are. I agree that Murphy and Carmouche are pretty awful but Andrade and Joanna are far from being bums. Chookagian has also been tearing through the division. There's a skill gap between Valentina and everyone else, but that's because Valentina is a beast, not because everyone else is bums. Santos seems to be a promising contender - she looks good in all areas and should have the physicality to be competitive everywhere. Santos has also looked great against other contenders, especially with what she did to Joanne Wood. If Valentina comes in and destroys Santos, or makes her look like a bum, that wouldn't erase her other performances in the Octagon.

@@maryf720 nah Valentina is overrated so far she's been able to outclassed everyone in every department for lack of real contenders. against andrade Valentina had the reach and physical advantage in addition to that andrade is a brawler not a technical fighter against Joanna was basically a kick boxing match Valentina had defeated Joanna in the past so I knew Valentina was gonna win the fight Joanna has no ground game. So like I said is not Valentina's fault the division lacks of serious contenders but honestly I don't see Valentina losing her title any time soon Valentina is 34 already so if a new contender will come along n defeats Valentina people will say Valentina was not in her prime

The only thing I'm kind of concerned about is what will the heat and humidity be like in the arena. People often don't factor this in but it makes a night and day difference. If you're used to training in a -10 to 15 c temperature and then you try to perform in a 35 c high humidity environment you gas almost immediately. It's like fighting at altitude of you're not used to it. I feel like if it's hot this will favour Glover massively the more the fight goes on.

@@MannElite I was referencing the Nate Robinson line before he got knocked out by Jake Paul. In all seriousness tho Taila Santos is a dangerous fighter but Shevchenko will probably be too much. If Santos doesn’t feel mentally beat like most of Shevchenko’s opponents are before the fights even start and can fight her fight I actually give her a chance. The way she dismantled Jojo was very impressive.

The respect and display of focus and hard work gets me way more hyped for a card than the trash talk and (probably mostly fake) beef that happens on a lot of cards. Jiri my favorite fighter for the meditation, the training in the deep forest isolation, and the flow state he exudes while in combat. I admire the creativity in his style, and the mysticism! Cannot forget that part, it's bad azz! the idiosyncratic, unorthodox movements he makes, the beliefs of channeling energies and focusing them, directing them into his right hand, it is all super cool!
