It's wild how many clean shots both of the guys took and kept standing and the striker submitting the bjj expert in the last minute was just sensational definitely one of the best title fights in mma history!

What makes this match greatest fight ever. 1)Jiri had very little experience against top UFC fighters especially wrestler. 2)Glover is 42! 3)The match was both standup as well on ground (unlike Usman vs Colby 1 or Joanna vs weili) Depicting full art of mma. 4)Both were too close to get the finish multiple times. Their cardio and heart fighting at light heavyweight was crazy.(Common in lower weight class) 5)Glover hurt Jiri on standup.Jiri finally submitted him on ground . No match can ever topple this match . Hats off to both fighters .

This felt like an old school Pride fight. Both going for the finish. Neither playing safe. Never a dull moment on the ground. With many submission attempts and reversals. Both are Samurais to me.

Fight of the year and clearly one of the best fight in the history. Prochazka has just 3 fights in UFC and already 2 fights are legendary. What an amazing fighter. And respect for Glover. He deserve a rematch.

Jiri’s era has just begun. I don’t think there’s anyone in the current roster who’s able to handle his toughness. He proved a controversial point on the ground that to many was his weakness. Controlling Jiri has proven to be more challenging than doing so on the feet! Victorious as promised ✊🏻

Wow! My man Jiri actually did it. He became the champion of the LHW division. I can’t explain the happiness i had when he ended up on top in the dying minutes of the round and thought it was all over. To come back and win via submission aganist a legend like Glover is one of the most insane fights i have ever seen. We fans loved Jiri and i bet a lot more people are proud of him 🇨🇿. Killer🏆👍

Glover put up an insane fight, if it had gone to a decision I was putting 48-47 on Glover. But Jiri rallied for a RNC submission on the BJJ expert himself in the LAST minute of the 5th round. Absolutely bananas, well-deserved win, and kudos to both for an amazing legendary title fight in UFC275, THE FIRST EVER UFC IN ASIA WOO!

When seen live definitely. I dont know how this fight looks, when I rewatch it. But Live it was definitely one of the best fights, especially if you consider, that I thought Jiri would lose by Gnp when the last round came.

@@OoLiiMiiT3D the anticipation of jiri getting pounded or submitted each time glover took him down Or jiri bouncing back and beating glover I was rooting for jiri and a bit disappointed considering he wasn't fighting but looking for a flashy finish like unecessary *jumping with a knee* or not following his shots I knew he was gonna lose the fight to a decision since glover won the 1st, 4th(I don't remember) and was doing great in the last(shouldn't have jumped for a gulli on such a long and sweaty jiri) But when jiri pulled the choke i was disappointed for glover☠️

He definitely did not earn that the easy way! I feel he is slightly disappointed in himself knowing glover was really beating him up for alot of the fight and took him to the deepest waters he's ever been in. But he should be proud of himself. I know he really cares about the path of a warrior. The warrior is not made from a quick and easy KO, the warrior is made when one can emerge from the deepest and darkest of places.

A good chunk of Jiri's performance was sloppy as well; there was times where he was rushing and that gave Glover a chance to take over. Either way, I'm glad he recognized this.

@@naturemanironfist5621 immediate rematches are rare. You may not agree with it but jan will probably get it and then glover will have to win one fight and then he gets title shot again. That’s just the way it works most of the time unless Jiri decides to call put glover. Especially when this ended in a finish, regardless of how close the fight is. Would love to see a rematch tho personally especially since Glover won’t be fighting for too long, heard he will retire after a couple more fights?

That was literally the best way I could have envisioned this. The old warrior champ Teixeira was arguably about to win but then the young warrior Jiri just snatched victory in the last moments of the final round. Two of the most stand up guys in the promotion and I'm so glad they both got to give it their all with whole respect for each other. Congratulations to Jiri for showing Championship skill, heart, sportsmanship and same to Glover as he passed the torch. What a back and forth dog fight. Just amazing.

Jiri had a tough fight because of his style, bending his head to the opponent with hands down and making risky moves. His ability to get back after a take down is impressive. His chin man, he got caught so many times by SUPER heavy shots and recovered like it was a medium shot. He in my opinion is tied up for the best chin in UFC history with Tony, look at the up kick by Reyes that sent him down, he recovers like he just lost 1 life and continues to fight with his other lives. Of course his striking, in my opinion is currently the best in UFC. His wrestling isn’t that bad but he needs to improve it! The way he tricked Teixeira for the rear-naked choke was so impressive. In my opinion ties up with fight of the year with the Khamzat vs Burns fight. Sad to see Teixiera lose after all his achievements in the UFC and his promess to his grandpa of becoming champ.

I think he has an incredible offense, but his defence on the stand up is very vulnerable especially on the later rounds when fatigue becomes a factor. I think to be a complete striker he needs to improve on that, because guys like Izzy hardly get caught and that's what makes him the best striker at the moment in my opinion.

@@tarunverma8355 I think his defense on the ground was pretty high level. Got caught with 1 elbow after spending 5 rounds on the ground with a specialist. We saw what happened to Anthony Smith when he was in the same position. Jiri, apart from the cut, looked pretty clean.

@@tarunverma8355 you are smoking man. No one was ever able to stand up so many times against Glover, no one was ever able to get out of that many super TIGHT submission attempts. Jiri was not satisfied by his performance tonight as he made a lot of mistakes, but it was a Fight of the year contender and both fighters really gave it all they had. Props to both, huge respect for both no matter the outcome.

I have watched UFC since the very first one and thought I had seen it all..... this has got to be one of the best fights in history. It's one thing for the smaller guys to take those shots but these are LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHTS!!!

It was such a weird crazy fight even though the older and more experience Teixeira was pounding on the young and confident Jiri through out the fight you could still sense that Jiri was going to win even with like 20 seconds left in the 5th round, as they were on the ground with a few seconds left expecting to hear the bell go off and Glover winning in decision, instead Jiri stands up and raises his hand and we were all like "wtf just happened!?".

This fight is the Tony vs Khabib that we never got. And in bigger packaging too. Cant believe Jiri fights weirder than Tony. With arms on his hips, he leans forward and hangs his head past his front foot. Cant really fault him if it works. And its entertaining as AF. Congrats. - Reversals on the ground looked like a battle of Quick Time events.

Man, tonight's fights were such a hit. The LHW division is back in a big way. I really hope Glover doesn't retire just yet. I know... He said 1 more fight after this one, but this performance shows he can hang with the best in the world. Jiri is 29 years old. Glover took him to those deep waters for the first time in his career, and although the kid passed the test in such a unbelievable way, if that fight goes to the cards Glover wins this fight. I was so impressed with Glover's all around game especially his striking, and I was equally impressed with Jiri's grappling. This whole week we all spent the time pointing out how both guys had such massive holes in their game, and tonight they proved us all wrong. These are the two most well rounded guys in the division, and are the legit #1 and #2 best in their division.
