Czech part (1:47:00) translation for anyone interested: Interviewer - First of all congratulations on your win. Do you have any plans for a celebration? Will they be as crazy as the fight was? Interviewer - Are you aware that this is the biggest thing that has ever happened to the Czech MMA scene? Jiří - As I said... Should I speak in English or Czech? I kinda don't.... It's not that I don't care but the main thing is that I notice my mistakes. When a person allows to put their mind into it. What happened, why did it happen and realise that he can do it better next time and he knows that he can do it better. That has alot more value than people having me as an idol, yeah? It's more of an honor to show people my martial arts in the best promotion and get the belt. That is an honor. Interviewer - Fans expected you to win by KO but you won by SUB, is there a new dimension to this? (I don't really understand the question... To be completly honest :D) Jiří - As I said, you have to show that you can do absouletly anything to get the win, that you can sacrifice anything, even if its in the first, third, fourth or the fifth round after you had your face cut open. Interviewer - Last question, can you imagine what your win means to Czech MMA? For its popularity and expansion. Jiří - You tell me. I don't know I honestly belive that I'll be a motivation for people to train efficiently, have more self-confidence and not train stupidly for a milion hours like I use to do but to train to push yourself, to notice yourmistakes, to push yourself, to in-comporate it into your lifestyle so I can win in a fight under cameras in front of thousands.

The way Jiri could talk about the details of the fight is very rare which says a lot about his mental calmness inside the octagon. Almost all fighters need to rewatch the fight to really analyze what happened, it sounds like Jiri could already do that while the fight was still playing out.

That’s why most of us long-time fans love the UFC. They throw you right in the fire especially if you have such a big name/history. Had she won she would be fighting for the belt next which is only right. Chance losing to a tune up fight is just too risky for everyone involved. Think about it, the UFC is a business and these fighters want money. You don’t get the big pay days with tune ups.

Plus, if you are tapping on someone to give up and the ref DOESNT stop it…you are obviously going to verbal tap and protest since you’re wanting to quit. Glover put on an amazing performance as always some people might have been surprised with his striking but I am not as he was a knockout expert during the early part of his career and frequently trained and spared with Chuck Liddell. I'm surprised at how good the fight was though one of the best in recent light heavyweight history. I like what I'm seeing from Prochazka he is humble and victory and understands his mistakes and shortcomings in the fight and looks to work on those things

Santos did very well, but I really thought Valentina won despite all the fans booing the decision. Santos was taking her down and getting herself in great position but like Valentina said she was as active as she shoulda been in those positions. Valentina was always moving forward, getting the more significant strikes, defending well, had a takedown or two with some control time. All the factors imo I had her winning. But santos is young and dangerous would like to see them fight again

Dana was once asked in an interview who he felt would likely be his successor if he were to leave the UFC, he said there's one person who could handle the job but he didn't reveal who it was. I think its this guy that speaks from 22:30 , he seems really clued up for such an unfamiliar face.

Hopefully not. The job requires someone interesting like Dana has been. People talk about Dana just as much and sometimes more than they talk about fighters. Dana has larger than life presence in this sport (forget how you feel about him). This dude whose name I don’t know, didn’t catch and already forgot was a total bore, and looks like he would be a total pushover to the “woke” media of recent who Dana has effectively shut down like a boss. I predict sadness in promotion, pay and revenue for the UFC when Dana does eventually retire. UFC valuation will take a major plunge that day. Better find someone more charismatic than this dude, it’s a promotion after all.

I think it’s a great quality to have, it just needs to be applied in a different manner. Be a perfectionist with your diet and training, but not your fights because fights never go as planned. His mentality is good because that brutal honesty with himself will drive him to correct flaws he has. But for the fight itself he should have an open mind about the outcome, the goal is to win, and he did that. It’s also better to have the fight, enjoy it for a moment, then put it in the past so you can focus on the present again. This is why it’s good to have coaches, they can see what you need to work on, they create the training regimen. There’s no need to go relive old fights over and over, that can create a lot of doubt.

Being gassed is not an excuse, because Glover was also gassed, yet somehow his punches still landed perfectly on Jiri's head, but not vice versa. Not taking away anything from Jiri, but he has a lot to learn from this fight. and he recognised this.
