@@davisfamily8178 Ironically enough --- because he's going up against a former champ at the kicking game --- if Cannonier could get those powerful lower leg kicks in early enough, with solid impact, they WILL dampen Izzy's striking because his mobility, due to compromised legs, wouldn't be 100%. Against Izzy, there's no one-solution solves all problems. If any one thing that comes closes to "the solution," it'd be to reduce his ability.... by kicking at his lower legs & hurting them... Cannonier's powerful punches won't even get through, if he's not able to find a way to impact Izzy's ultra high mobility, in the first place... Otherwise, if the guy is allowed to move around on his fast bike and just throw hand grenades at you, there isn't a whole lot you could do, whether you're Romero, Whittaker, Costa, Vettori or Cannonier. One single punch from the 6'4" may not be as powerful as one punch from Romero or Costa or Cannonier; but problem is, Izzy finds a way to punch you twice in the face before you are even lose to throwing your own, which may very well miss them or not land as you want... so over many minutes, those "small hand grenades" add up, even if you're carrying a mightier bazooka (like Cannonier, Costa, Romero et al).
