Li was robbed of opportunity to show off his suit, robbed of a favorable matchup against Tony, robbed of a win against D-Rod, and robbed of an appearance in the Thrill and the Agony sneak peak.

Khamzat would have sent Nate to the infirmary 100%. UFC 279 mix up was no accident, talk all mess you want just look at the facts. Dana and the ufc had second thoughts. Nate would have been utterly trashed and taken to school. Khamzat was the bigger, stronger and younger fighter. Tony's legacy will be irreparably tarnished with all these back to back to back losses. His career is going the route of BJ Penn's, if he doesn't retire this losing streak will be apart of his legacy.

@madgavin7568 2 жыл бұрын
@@honestlee9921 Given how old and washed he looked against Nate, its safe to say he will go down the BJ Penn as he will keep losing to guys he would have easily beaten in his prime. There's only one solution; retirement. Tony's legacy is tarnished because his downfall is now part of his story, you can't talk about Tony Ferguson's career anymore without mentioning his fall from grace. That could have been avoided had he retired after the Gaethje or even the Oliveira loss. But now its too late, a 5 fight losing streak cannot be ignored.
@hdvision7944

Tony's legacy won't be tarnished because he doesn't have one to begin with. Who did he beat? RDA is his biggest win and that guy came off a KO loss to Alvarez only 4 months before fighting Tony. Then he beat Lee who turned out to be a nobody, and past his prime Pettis and Cerrone. pfft

Thank goodness Khamzat missed weight. A legend like Nate deserves to go out with dignity! Matchup should have been something like this to begin with.

I'll never hate on the UFC, I'm just saying what I've seen throughout the past 14-15 years or so. The UFC is becoming more and more watered down, while expanding around the globe, looking for those talents that they can build into the likes of the PPV stars that have come and gone. So what is happening is, exactly what I believe Rogan or one of the commentators said years ago, about this "new breed" of fighters that the future would bring bc they're starting sooo young and understanding you need to be well rounded so these newer guys do more things good, but few are great at one particular discipline. I think over the next 10-20 years or so, this will keep evolving and getting better and better with no end in sight hopefully!
