Chiesa isn't even good. He's just another journeyman that props up UFC's marketed stars. The UFC is just doing what boxing does, but they're how boxing used to be when the managers owned the fighters. It's practically human trafficking at this point.

IDK man, they made merab #1 contender over O'Malley (which doesn't make sense to me), so maybe Aljo calls it quits at 135 after Cejudo and let's merab fight for the belt against either O'Malley or Chito/Sandhagen

It's what you don't see coming at you that hurts you the most. Usman didn't see that leg, because he was trying to avoid that decoy left fist of Leon's. This time around, while Usman & Team are all ready for that head-kick, it may be daring/risky leg chopping or something else. What is the ONE ASPECT of Leon's game that his team has been RADIO SILENCE on all these months? The BJJ moves! I think they've been working on EITHER knee buckling, lower leg chopping OR the BJJ moves. Leon IS GOING TO BE TAKEN DOWN eventually (& Leon in turn could do one or two fast GSP type tackles against the big wrestler, too).... so if I were Leon, I'd not be just reacting to Usman's feints about take down. I'll preemptively kick at his leg as hard and as frequently as possible and just prepare myself mentally and physically to do scrambling on the mat, at my own choosing and make sure it's mostly in the middle of the octagon, when scrambles take place, so Leon being faster, more agile, without knee issues, could scramble more fluidly without obstacles like the fence... Remember, in 2 fights, with Usman dominating around 6 rounds, he's almost always on top position on the ground. But Leon is VERY CAPABLE of defending himself, from his back (because if that were not the case, the BIG MAN would have rendered Leon senseless in those 6 rounds, from the top). Therefore, again, Leon NEEDS to do his own shit, as opposed to just waiting to defend a take down all the time... while backing into the fece, where Usman just bends down to scoop up both legs. That is NOT the right approach for Leon to take, like the first two fights...

Serra never strung more than 2 wins together at the UFC. And GSP was in his very early UFC journey, when he fought Serra. Usman, the great former champ, is coming to the end of his UFC career. This is likely is 1-2 last fights, win or lose. Leon is not only the champ, he is just peaking, at 31, a towering 6'2" solid 190lb big WW guy, the most agile at 170. Usman has tried twice before this & it's VERY hard to overwhelm Leon like Usman overwhelmed all his other previous opponents. Yes, ANY THING is possible --- from both Usman and Leon ---- but how LIKELY it is that at 36, with so much mileage and damages, that the former great champ is now gonna overwhelm an even faster, more prime, more skilled, and more confident champ who ALMOST subbed him 1st round & then who put him down brutally, 5th round, just 7 or so months ago? Usman did NOT "dominate Leon until that last minute." Leon --- a pretty gassed out Leon, to be truthful, though that was NOT an excuse for his poorer performances in rounds 2, 3, and 4 --- again, easily won first and 5th rounds, on a round per round analysis. You can't give a round to someone when it's not finished yet; nor can you assign it, before the bell, to a fighter simply because he performs better at the beginning of the round. Again, rounds start at 5:00 & end at 0:00. Until the last second ticks by, the round hasn't been won. Usman never won the 5th.
