My parents had second jobs as cleaners, after school every Tuesday and Thursday my sisters and I would go either to a hotel to help Mum, or a bar/rsl to help Dad so they could get home quicker, and we lived in Perth at the time. In fact, several people in that crowd probably had similar experiences. Black people have convinced themselves that all white people grew up rich, when a lot of black people are actually far more privileged than us, even before we let them come live in our countries.

Lol, I'll tell you something as a child African immigrant fleeing horrible circumstances, you grow up in school where you do not look like the majority, you are a constant target for racism and xenophobia. People are always trying to tell you, you don't belong there. In that sense my home cultural identity was a huge part of my life too, and I remember the feeling of people trying to take that away too. In the press conference where Izzy cried he said that if he wins he's going to Nigeria and then South Africa with the belt. Now as a South African man from the Xhosa tribe, Izzy coming here with a belt would be absolutely unthinkable. Dricus Du Plessis is our man to victory and South Africans support South Africans. I used to orders Domino's a ton as a college stoner and I developed a keen sense of when the delivery driver arrived at my place, without notification. Id get up from the couch knowing it's about that time and I was 100% right until the one time I went to the door and there was no driver. I was absolutely flabbergasted and I thought for sure this was a sign of my mortality until I stepped out from my porch, looked down the road and saw the delivery driver down a few houses. I yelled to him, "large Brooklyn style with feta??" And he goes "yup but it's for this house here!" I thought surely he had to be wrong, and it turned out that I accidentally wrote the wrong address for delivery! Anyways I rightfully claimed my prepaid pizza and ate it in 5 minutes as always. I think it was just bringing up his family while they were sat right there in front of him, it touched a nerve. We’ll see though.
