The aura around O'Malley is crazy considering his resume. A super close fight with Yan where he barely survived the 3rd, an impressive KO of Aljo where he cheated his ass off to defend the takedowns, and then a one sided beat down of the punching bag that is Chito Vera. That's all the notable wins of his entire career. Merab on the other hand has steamrolled an entire train of former champs and elite fighters and yet he has no aura at all right now. He out wrestled an olympic gold medalist for heaven's sake and yet it feels like it was such a long time ago that it doesn't matter. What a strange build up this has been.
