On Episode 1 of UFC Fight Night Chicago, four of the world’s best bantamweights turn their attention to training, recovery and media duties a week out from their big night. UFC champion TJ Dillashaw and his opponent Renan Barao prepare for a title rematch, with both stars’ training partners predicting success for their fighters. In Las Vegas, women’s bantamweight Miesha Tate shares a healthy barbecue with friends, while her opponent Jessica Eye recovers in Cleveland with chiropractic and cryogenics. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the championship rematch at UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs. Barao 2, taking place Saturday, July 25 on FOX.

Chris Thompson I don't have the exact source for you because I watched too many videos, but in one of them Dana explained that McGregor would receive between 3 to 5 dollars for every sold PPV. Now there were between 750.000 and 1m PPV buys, so Conor has made at least 750.000 x 3 = 2.250.000 off of PPV alone. If he got 4 dollars, that's already the 3m. I know this doesn't sound trustworthy since I don't have the actual source but it's what Dana said.

Stitch was the best at what he does, his connection with the fighters was off the charts, and was always there for the fighters to talk to, then he talks negatively towards a deal made for Dana and Lorenzo to get more money, and the fighters to get less, and what does the UFC do, they fire the nicest person that works for them #dislikeforstitch

***** You need to understand both Stitch and Burt put a little bit more confidence in these guys in crucial moments and sometimes can make good fights turn into great fights! Stitch was extremely helpful with bloody fights going on because of his skill and everyone knew he was the best Cutman even the fighters have said it themselves. Burt yelled confidence into these fighters when they are making that walk to the octagon and have 100,000,000 thoughts running through their head. No one will ever be able to replace Burt or Stitch in my opinion and is proven by most fighters in the UFC speaking out on how much this has upset them because these men were truly unique and not irreplaceable and the fighters knew it. Just because you don't know who they are, doesn't mean you should assume they're worthless to MMA.

It seems like the UFC handled Stitch's firing in a bit of a shady way, but everyone seems to be missing the bigger picture. The UFC is going through some pretty significant organizational changes. In times like this, its important to remove all detractors from change as they are likely to influence others within the organization. If the UFC felt that Stitch would continue to defy them and possibly cause problems within the organization, then they have the right to let him go. Change is the only constant, and those who don't accept that must be removed.
