Damn man. I remember watching this episode more than a decade ago and becoming an instant Jon Jones fan. He seemed so genuine and humble. I remember waking up in the morning (live in Europe) and searching the internet to see the results. I was so happy he won. Fast forward ten years. Turns out the guy is a complete sociopath and narcissist. I still tune in every time he fights and I still believe in him as a fighter. Lost my faith in him as a person though..

I think Jon going back and watching this special would do him a world of good. Yes, he's now a major success. Yes, he's gotten all the sponsors to take notice and get a LOT of money. Yes, he's established himself as the greatest LHW ever, and in the conversation for GOAT. But he's lost his way as a person. He's on the verge of being Rocky Balboa in Rocky 3, where IF he tumbles from the mountain top, he'll be shattered as a person, because what he is now isn't the real him. He needs to get back to his roots as a human, and that begins with holding himself responsible for the message he originally had before winning the belt. I hope he can do it in light of this recent shit. He's beyond talented, and has the right charisma to make everyone take notice. He just needs to take himself a little less serious, and remember he's human like the rest of us.

To JBJ, there are many of us that respect and embrace your skills and what you have acheived in the sport of MMA. You have made yourself the type of fighter that is now on another level and your respective division can no longer hold you. As a society we like to build people up and then break them down. Please stop looking for everyone's approval. A true fan of MMA will recognise and acknowledge you and what you have achieved. Keep your head up young brother and remember you do not stand alone !

It seems like so long ago when Jon Jones wasn't even in the UFC, but from the moment I saw him I knew there was potential for him to not only fight in the big leagues but to become a world champion. I'm honestly very nervous about this match but I know in my heart he has the skills to win, and now it's time to just make it happen. This is his moment, and I'll stand by Bones win or lose. Good luck, my man.

For all the people who have opinions about this young man's life it's great that you live in a country that allows you to express them. As for Mr. Jones and his lifestyle, it is his to live, his God to answer to and what you believe is truly irrelevant. It is easy to stand behind your on-screen names and pass judgment, but I encourage him to press on. He is a blessed man and will be blessed as long as he continues his path. A radical shake up is required in the UFC. When it comes to GSP, I want to see him in the MW division facing fighters like Weidman, Bisping, Lombard, Beltcher, Munoz, Soonen (if he returns). These types of fights generate interest. Apart from Condit, any other fight for GSP in the WW division has now become boring and the outcome can be pre-determined. This is why it is important for GSP to move up to MW and cement his legacy. GSP himself needs new challenges that can only come from moving up.
