I've notice that about him when he's behind. His corner needs to tell him to step it up. I gave him the 2nd round but it was really close.

Finally fights an actual striker, get repeatedly cracked on the feet. Lays on top of MVP out of desperation, landing zero submissions and zero ground and pound. Literally laying on him. I understand that control time impacts the scores and that Ian won because of this, but in my opinion, 10 minutes of unsuccessful grappling will never equate to delivering 20-30 hard punches/kicks to the face. I love dominant grappling that results in subs or ground and pound, but what Ian did was cowardly and wasted a huge fight that the fans were excited for. I'd make him fight down in the rankings after that.

The bottom line is, yes he won… but he certainly didn’t become any more likeable. He needs to do something to get the fans on his side. He’s not going to get to the top with boring fights like this one.

I get it was a boring fight but MVP makes those types of fights, he’s too good as a striker, he’s too quick, athletic, explosive, tall, lengthy and powerful that he’s too hard to strike with. This is a typical MVP fight if you’ve watched his fights and because of how great MVP is as a striker, you can’t do anything but wrestle and make it boring. Kind of didn’t believe Ian had that type of wrestling and grappling so I had MVP winning my but well done Ian Gary.
