It's a win-win-win. Holloway gets a chance to end the fight with a KO, his opponent gets the same chance, and the fans get the most exciting ending to the fight possible. It should become a thing, but I feel only Holloway will ever be the guy to say "ten seconds left, let's empty the tank".

Yeah, it was really cool seeing Max from a younger age - he was always down, and it took awhile for him to be recognized by literally everyone... But even back then, I just found myself rooting for him, like, "Damn - who is this kid, and why aren't people appreciating him more, with that fighting spirit?" He was kind of treated like just another competitor on a card, back then. But I really started to appreciate how game he always was. But Conor's knockout streak ENDED when Max took him to the final bell - and it wasn't until Ilia that he finally, FINALLY got KO'd - or even knocked down, I think.

@@DibzzehM8 neither of them were slips. Justin dropped Max with a strike and he even Max said it. Porier dropped max too but the cage held him up. If it was in the center of the octagon he would’ve fell on his butt. In boxing it would be ruled knockdowns.

I'm not gonna lie....I wanted Max to have a long reign at FW and it hurt to see him come short against Volk and Ilia but Man, he will always have the ownership of THE most BMF way in which you can win the BMF title. Plus, he's a former champ who had multiple defenses. Definitely a worthy hall of famer.

It was the kind of fight where either guy winning won't be too big of an issue but the decision will get "robbery" shouts from the other side all the same. But yes, as a Max fan it would've felt ultra good at that time if he'd got the win.
