It really would have been a treat to see Khabib go up against an elite grappler at least once before he retired. I really like him, but all of his fights were so easy. Always against great strikers with some jiu-jitsu. Islam is about to go up against a elite grappler. To me Islam is a little better than khabib because he’s very good on the feet and grappling and jiu-jitsu. He’s so well rounded it’s crazy.
@bryceferguson84097 ай бұрын

@@maherabdalla “wild” is the wrong word becuase of how khabib fights let me change how I relay this information… Islams a better stronger grabbler then everyone just like khabib, but instead of “wildly” aggressively chasing the takedown all night there’s times he allows himself into striking battles where hes more prone to losing then if he would just be agressive and but everyone to there back the way khabib did, Islam has all the tools in the shed to be as good as khabib I just belive he’s a little more polished on the feet with less of a chin like you said. He’s too comfortable standing with these killers at 155 imo

Yeah for all the narrative that he wasnt a good striker, he consistently outstuck his opponants, even back in his debut fight. People get confused because they mistake him feigning strikes for a takedown, as genuine strikes. But he was never intending those wild swings to connect, thry were just to trick his opponant into reacting to them so he could set up alevel change. You can see the difference when he actually intends the strike to land, he is very fast & accurate.
