DJ is the real p4p MMA GOAT. His resume is only discredited because his opponents were not popular. But they were almost all young, hungry, good grapplers, and MMA strikers. DJ had to deal with more well rounded skillsets than the other GOATs, and often size disadvantages. A good example would be Cejudo. Imagine if DC had a size advantage on Jones; that’s what DJ dealt with. I don’t care what anyone says, DJ is the real GOAT for me
@k.j.jackson563710 ай бұрын
@JayDee-k8m Nah, I’d have to disagree with that. -DJ has 14 title wins, not 12. -I would disagree with the competition assessment. DJ’s opponents being more athletic p4p and better at mixing the martial arts would account for dropping a round. -DJ won a 135lb belt in ONE vs a top tier American Top Team fighter in Adriano Moraes which would be comparable to a winning a 185lbs belt off a post prime Michael Bisping who barely scraped by a very old Dan Henderson. -When DJ fought Brad Pickett, it was his 4th professional fight & up his natural weight class weight -Saying the 125lb division was made for DJ is historically inaccurate. Ian McCall and Joseph Benavides were the two favorites to win the inaugural UFC 125lb tournament. DJ was the underdog. I think the reason you’re saying it was made for him is because you don’t have any context of the history & just know he became the dominant champion. -Former champions doesn’t mean much whenever you’re talking about the first champion of a division. It’s more accurate to talk about the actual opponents they faced. It’s like when Jones fans say Vitor Belfort was a former champion despite him winning the belt in like 2004 in a far worse era of the UFC. -GSP is the best MMA wrestler out of the GOATs, but DJ is the best clinch fighter out of the GOATs. They all have their best areas. And I would disagree it was a tougher division. -Wins and percentages are fine. But GSP only has one more win, but he does have less losses which is probably the best point I can agree with. So on planet earth I’d say DJ is greater than GSP. But I know many people who think GSP is greater, and that’s fine. I consider both to be greater than Jon Jones.

*the first fight* I can't get over how both their game plans were on point and had a solid counter game based on them both recognizing their weaknesses...there were highs and lows for both and it was poetry in motion. Absolutely perfect display of technique and trust in their game plans. Every detail was being read between the two and capitalized when the opportunity presented itself. Both put on a performance worth much more than they were paid. One of the most beautiful matches in an octagon between both. Thank yall

I love the way Mighty Mouse fights. It's up close in the clinch but always working and never stopping. Using the strength of the opponent against him. Mighty mouse is like AsmonGold of the UFC, mid maxing his punches, kicks, etc. meaning he never gets tried. Has one speed, keeps that pace. Amazing to see The Void and how he utilized it.

Pulling out a submission with 1 second to go after beating the complete shit out the guy! Tko'd Henry Cejudo with knees to the body! Then what he did in ONE was just as amazing!
