I think it's due to his fight IQ.... He was an extremely emotional fighter. While he had speed and power on his side he never changed his style. The longer he was around the more other fighters were able to solve his style.

I LOVE how the first 2 fights are the 2 most cocky fighters getting humbled. As much as I couldn’t stand Ronda, her annoying attitude and cockiness AT LEAST made sense given her resume. The fact that Anderson Silva lost that Weidman fight still pisses me off to this day and likely will always be one of the most disappointing things in UFC I've ever experienced. As a HUGE Anderson Silva fan, the fact that he lost because he got careless and showboated and got caught... I mean just think how much longer his reign could have been.. who else was gonna beat him around this time ?? Bisping ?? Rockhold?? Maybe we would have gotten the GSP fight?? So disappointing 😢

Weidman was only like +150 when he beat Anderson and I bet on him. This fight is only shocking after round 1 because I thought Weidman was toast, he was definitely breathing heavy and feeling the moment. Still no idea why Anderson got too cocky like that. 24:47 Weidman’s combo was so brilliant because he spams the right hand twice to get Anderson to move his head to the right leading to a collision with Weidman’s left hook.

What’s crazy about the UFC is, Rhonda is such a 1 trick pony but it worked for so long. In this fight she looked like such a rookie, but she was the best of the best. What’s even more crazy is that Holm went on to lose her next fight, to someone Rhonda beat up multiple times. UFC is a trip. And then also Holm sucked as a champ, and a non champ. Rhonda sucked as a champ, and non champ. The women’s division was pretty bizarre then. And these un-skippable ads every freakn minute are bullshit too lol. Watching that punk Rockhold get KOd will never get old. Watching that punk Silva get KOd will never get old.
