Lol he had a great powerful voice for big KOs or exciting moments, but his in fight commentary was horrendous. His timing with Rogan and Couture was always out of place. He would often say things that had no real meaning to what was happening in the fight and then wait for Rogan and Couture to respond to his comments only for them to ignore what he just said so they could actually analyze the fight. He hyped the fighters' personalities and said generalized commentary that only carried flash. Great voice, terrible commentary and overall dim.

The Conor that stepped into that ring against Aldo was mythical. Never seen anyone look that relaxed, confient and sharp before or since. Nothing Aldo could have done. Conor was seeing in slow motion that night.

Gsp's run happened during Anderson's record run, so he was always second at that time. His only chance would've been 09 when he beat Bj penn, but picking Lyoto was not a bad choice since he was 16-0.

It’s insane looking back at these old highlights of Chuck Liddell, and how bad/sloppy those guys look compared to most of the guys you see today. But Chuck really was the Gold Standard back then. People were shocked when he lost to Rua.

Chuck was never the gold standard in terms of skill, the majority of his opponents were probably more skilled than he was, but he was able to grind out wins off of sheer toughness. Chuck would eat three shots to land one. not to mention his power. there weren't all sloppy/bad, there were skilled strikers in that era and previously. Mirko crocop,Anderson Silva, lyoto machida, bas rutten, Maurice smith, Alistair overeem, etc.

I loved Goldberg's voice, but yeah... he was a terrible commentator and a huge UFC casual. He lacked timing and often sounded like a major noob. He would say super basic things that Joe often ignored or made fun of him for it.

In 08, Dan was in his prime. NCAA D1 folkstyle wrestling. Olympic caliber greco roman wrestling. Phenomenonal Power Puncher. Dirty Boxing and Ground and Pound master. and a dangerous guillotine choke. And Anderson beat him in a totally dominating fashion and finished him in the 2nd round. The well rounded Boxer-Wrestler match up was the obvious foil for Silva. And none was better than Dan, I knew if Dan couldn't take him out then only Father time could. Sure enough that style did ultimately beat him in time with Chris Weidman.

Anderson Silva was in pride FC as well but not dominant yet. Wanderlei Silva was the best middleweight on earth but he said back then his teammates Anderson and shogun were more talented than him . And we saw that later .

In his best year (2013) he had 3 wins, and 1 of those wins could be considered a gift against Abel Trujillo. He never fought more than twice a year since.
