It's funny how fighters hit their primes at different ages. Nick was clearly past his prime when he came back to the ufc vs Penn, even though he was only about 30 years old. You could see how much slower he was compared to his fights in strikeforce. The strikeforce version of Nick is what people should remember of him, an absolute killer boxer who loved getting into scraps.

I still to this day have Wanderlei Silva vs Brian Stann 1:20:31 as my personal favorite 1st round brawl ever in UFC and a contender for best 1st rounder in UFC in general. The Marine vs the Axe Murdera! Shocked they didn't promote the hell out of that fight more. Heh Wandy knew he finally found the guy he's been desiring for a while after 2 fights of people not willing to brawl with him and someone who will also match his intensity when he got clocked and smiled 1:22:26. Funny he told him to bring it and Brian brought it by knocking him down! LMAO!!! I LOVE IT!!!! Yo whoever is in charge of these compilations give them a bonus. Kinda spamming some of the same ol fights that recently happened but they have fights like this nuzzled in nicely

This is great for existing fans. For new fans you're just doing the old legends dirty, really. You get no feel for why it's significant that Griffin loses like that, he of the big heart and the reason we still have UFC today. That the monster Cyborg is brutalized like that in a minute. That the uncatchable Cruz, executioner of any Team Alpha Male talent, gets schooled by Garbrandt who became the ultimate warrior after making a promise to a Make-A-Wish child...

Diego vs Clay or Gilbert gotta be on there if we're talking fights that could make a fan out of someone. Easy to forget as fans that more technical matches can be boring when you don't know what you're looking at and think you are watching two guys scared to really have a fight. Diego at his best will convince anyone not only is it an exciting sport but it's a FIGHT, that you'd have to be crazy or stupid to agree to be locked in a cage with an animal like that. If the thought of gassing out against that guy doesn't terrify you nothing will.
