It will age well for him, and it will age terrible for Alex lost every round and got dropped in the striking by a journeyman barely ranked in the top 10. Because at middleweight Alex has no chin because of the weight cut.
@raul5081
@raul5081 9 ай бұрын
First of all, 100%. Izzy is great and Alex himself knows that. But that KO happened more due to the brutal weight cutting than anything else (such as his wrong decision to go for the head so desperately). Alex has a good chin and proved against stronger guys. That was a fluke. Regardless, Izzy is great. Let's not treat him like a nobody for losing to Poatan 3 times. That's completely f normal.

3 years in the UFC: 👀 9-1 and counting 7 finishes Only 1 of 9 fighters to have won a belt 🥇 in two divisions. Fastest fighter ever to defend the belt 3x (within a staggering 11 months) The only fighter ever in combat history to be a two division champion in kickboxing and MMA. Consecutively defeated 5 (former) champions (Sean, Izzy, Jan, Hill, Jiri) Has his own successful marketing slogan without speaking English. Avenged 2 of the losses of his trainer Texeira (Hill and Jiri) Best walkout in UFC history Most intimidating stare down(s) in UFC history What an iconic career already in less then 3 years 🥊 Oh and absolute respect for Khalil, who showed tremendous heart.

I knew people were sleeping on Rountree. I know he lost, but I doubt people were expecting him to give Pereira his toughest fight at light heavyweight. Those first 2 rounds had me worried. Rountree definitely proved why he deserved a title shot. Unfortunetly, I think he's going to be the next Ferguson after that brutal beating. He gave it his absolute all and left a piece of himself in that octagon. He won't be the same ever again.

1 - Ankalaev needs to beat Rakic first. So far, he's not next all. 2 - Alex himself knows it'll be very difficult for him to make into the "GOAT" conversation, regardless of beating the winner of Ankalaev and Rakic. 3 - Becoming a tripe champion is a far bigger accomplishment than beating the winner of Rakic and Ankalaev. 4 - Inform yourself before posting any opinion.
