The fact that volkanovski lives a few streets away from me and i see him driving his jaguar blows me out that a normal man that we all knew growing up because of him playing for the warilla gorillas is now the featherweight champion of the world. Just crazy.

I shed a tear sometimes knowing I'm too old now to ever try professional fighting. I'm 41 years old now and didn't follow the fathers side of the family. My father was a semi-pro boxer and a prison guard, my uncle owns a kickboxing studio and sparred with Bill Superfoot Wallace. Fighting for a living is that. I just know I would have always came in unpredictable...never underestimate your opponent..and get those reflexes REFLEXES..

He needs a statement making win, Ortega is the perfect opponent to get it. Question is can and will Volk get it? He seems content to go the distance. I'm a fan of his, but he needs some finishes against top competition for the casual fans to stop writing him off as a paper champ who was 'gifted' a win over Max.

(Boxing, Martial Arts, UfC is evil) In the eyes of The Lord Jesus Christ, breaking someone’s nose or jaw (especially for money), is extremely wrong! Such a thing is NOT loving or kind at all. And even more so, cheering for another human being to be kicked in the face, or given a bloody nose, or a black eye, beaten up, or “knocked out unconscious ”- Is extremely wrong in His eyes as well. When we see two people fighting we should be appalled or displeased at the sight of it, Not be happy or excited…. He feels that it is extremely wrong to take excitement or pleasure in seeing someone’s son or daughter be being injured or beat up. In the eyes of the Lord it’s wrong! For these reasons, amongst all of the sports, MMA And Boxing are the sports that the HOLY Father despises the most as He considers them as especially evil or wicked. And I am sorry to say it, but He is right. (Psalm 11:5)- “The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.”

I just don't find Ortega beating him because the last fight of volkanovski with Max was a master class down in the first two rounds made beautiful adjustments and snatched the remaining 3 rounds from max . And we all know what max did to ortega.

He schooled Holloway. The rematch was a bit iffy in the 1st and 2nd, but he kept his composure like a true champ and got 3, 4, and 5. Funny how people always talk about how you cant take the belt from the champ if you don't finish strong against their favorite fighter, but apparently it's enough to win the 1st and 2nd for Max. 🤦🏻♂️

Hopefully he'll finish Ortega and finally get the respect on his name. He got the title by out-pressuring Mendes, neutralizing the King of Rio in Rio, and outpacing Max Holloway over 5 rounds- twice. Thats a crazy resume however you look at it
