He’s gonna go down as the greatest, his skill level is amazing and striking is so fluid and hard to hit him, Gastelum is only one who took him to war, and Jan won cause Izzy had to move up and didn’t feel right, but he’s definitely the greatest middleweight of all time, he’s defeated everybody they put in front of him and doesn’t care who it is and wins without a struggle, the mans unbelievable fighter, really would love to see him vs Jones dream fight

@@renwen4161 Adesanya is 91-7 in his entire fighting career and 21-1 in UFC alone, he beat everyone put in front of him, Silva had that amazing title reign but after losing it he then broke his leg and went on losing streak until he retired, not to mention Adesanya beat Silva as well

Exactly. That's like bringing a muay thai fighter from abroad for his first official ufc fight but having 100+ fights at Lumpinee. By no means were they inexperienced. Izzy even said he's used to fighting a lot more in a calendar year so ufc actually makes it easier with scheduling.

The pressure of doing that in front of 50k people would make most people cry, but he did it as a warm up. Like I said though, if you are a couch potato it is probably cringe seeing someone use their body in a positive way :)

I don't even care about Izzy losing to Jan because just as he said "Dare to be great". He is still the KING of the middleweight division and this loss will only be a lesson so that he can be an even better fighter in the future. Keep in mind that he didn't even get an ass-whooping or a one-sided beatdown whatsoever. It was just a good fight and a good show from both guys who are still GREAT Champions in everyone's eyes. Can't wait to see what Izzy has learned from this transcendent experience.

Guys like him are made born qnd built for this. He knows who he is and is willing to be him at all levels and that's what make him great anyone can lose but I use to have this side eye about the UFC but now I finally see it for what it represents. It represents sportsmanship, Honor, strength and full testament of who you are and what you can do to defend yourself. How can you be better all around but most importantly survive.

Izzy doesn't know how Gastelum survived that spinning elbow. He went on the Breakfast Club some time after the fight and said anyone else would have been out with that spinning elbow. Showed the interviewers that his elbow was still bruise from the impact. hahaha

I think the punishment Gastelum took was unnecessary, because it had long term effect and he hasn't been the same since that last round beat down.
