@@noahschwarz5979 It’s not an opinion it’s a technical thing. Pantoja wins round 1 and Erceg 4, those need no elaborating. Round 2 is the other round Erceg won, it’s not 3 like ppl keep saying (which is the elbow round). On round 2 Pantoja got outstuck and Erceg hit a lot of hard punches, the grappling was minimal and not very effective. Round 3 Pantoja won cause he outstruck Erceg (check stats if you don't believe), he hit quite a few decent strikes with impact, also the round had a lot of grapple exchanges (effective grappling is a criterion that counts as much as effective striking btw) all of which were won by Pantoja. The elbow caused a cut, that is damage but is minimal cause when the rules talk about effective damage it is not referring to bleeding, its actual damage that rocks an opponent, stuns him, makes him wince, move back, recoil, get on the defensive etc, a cut is just a cut, there is a billion reasons for it to happen in a fight. If making someone bleed was that important everyone would be using slicing elbows and nothing else, a slicing elbow is not at all that effective, it sometimes causes a cut but aside from that, it gets you nowhere near finishing a fight, it can add up with other strikes to give you a round (or cause a stoppage) but by itself its minor and on round 3 of this fight it was definitely not enough. Round 5 was very close on the feet, but also had a lot of grappling and every single grappling exchange was again won by Pantoja. Up until that last scramble that Pantoja ended up winning the round was dead even, that was enough to give the edge for Pantoja. Conclusion this is actually a very clear textbook 3-2 Pantoja fight, ppl can make arguments to score it 4-1 Pantoja or 3-2 Erceg, both would be wrong but not absurd.

As for the strikes, the only real discrepancy was in rounds 1 and 3. Erceg outstruck him rounds 2 and 4. Damaging strikes count more than volume strikes.
