No he def didn’t win lol. Don’t speak in absolutes in a close fight. If we’re talking damage which is the highest ranking judging criteria of mma, yan did way more. He completely destroyed aljo in rounds 4,5. Aljo did next to nothing when it came to damage , but he did control the back for 2 rounds which obviously wins him the rounds. Yan fought very emotional and without his corner, yan is superior but aljo is a legit weight bully . Yan probbaly wins that fight 7-8 times out of 10

Aljo is obviously a great fighter but I don’t agree with him when he makes excuses about how he performed in the first fight against Yan. He came out aggressive, exhausted a lot of energy early, and ultimately his game plan didn’t work. As a result of this Yan was able to take control of the fight as it progressed. I believe it was actually Aljo who made the more significant adjustments in the second fight. The second fight was also extremely close in my opinion. You could argue a 48-47 scorecard either way. I would love to see those two run it back for a third time in the near future.

@@jay_1212 Naw he right tho, everyone lost interest in bantamweight when Aljo became the "champ". A 3rd rate fake champ. The division is garbage, it was much more fun when Yan was champ. Whom beat aljo twice anyways

aljo have back control for like two full rounds and threatening submissions while yan could barely land a single hit. TJ didn't have that

Getting a takedown and taking someone's back for 4 min > having your hands locked around someone's waist. Not sure why that's hard to understand.

Alot of up and coming fighters in this weight class. Especially yanez. He's going to be a contender soon. O'Malley is up there. But the ones coming from the contender series. Are going to be a problem.

I think right now that 135 is the deepest division in the UFC. Anyone in the top 5 can win the Championship. And there are a slew of guys on the verge of breaking the top. I think 135 just barely beats out 170 right now. 170 as deep as it’s ever been. If Khamzat can get his cut down, he will fight for the title, but a lot of people don’t realize the real threat right now at 170 is Shavkat Rakhmonov!!! 2 very interesting divisions right now.

6:41 That’s why Omalley is a live dog in this fight. He fits the style to beat yan. Aljo used the front kick really well against yan in their 1st fight. I’m expecting Sean to have success with it & maybe recreate the Almeida finish
