Calvin Kattar is one of my favorites. Tough as nails, smart as heck, and just a good person. I bet he wishes he would have started younger. One of the best stand up strikers in MMA period.

Calvin Kattar has all the tools to become champion, idk what happened with Max but i can promise you a rematch would not look the same the true darkhorse in the division. (yes i know Touporias coming up)

Kattar's window to become champion is closely quickly, he is turning 35 next month and according to this video will not be fighting until he is close to 36 years old. Kattar has 3-4 fights left in him at most, he's an amazing fighter, his chances of becoming champion greatly diminished with that knee injury against Allen. A win against Allen would have given him that rematch with max for a title shot, but now he has to wait about a year to fight again according to him. Who knows what the featherweight division will look like in a year's time, the top contenders and even champion could all be different. Topuria is definitely a future champ, but he's still quite raw. Fortunately he is still very young, and will outlast a lot of the current featherweights.

Man featherweight is such an awesome division but so dead in terms of activity. We barely had any good matchups last year and the ones we did ended up as duds, though Volk has really been putting the work in. The only big fight I can even remember from last year was Topuria vs Mitchell

Love Kattar. He is a great ambassador for the sport. He is a fighter that other fighters are a fan of. Like Max, he is one of your favorite fighters' favorite fighter. He beat Emmett though. I hope he and Arnold can run it back if Max doesn't fight him. Even if he does Calvin should get him

Wheres the short sound vowel in kattar , its not cater, its kah-tar. Bc When a word has two vowels separated by two or more letters, the first vowel makes a short sound meaning the a in kattar should be pronounced as” kah-tar” not cater as in ‘apple’ as in ‘octopus’ as in ‘basket’ As we learn in preschool. What is the point of our language if not used correctly.
