from what I understood he lied about his record a lot, thus the ''3 records'', he used to do super shady shit so he could get into the UFC (eg. he changed his name several times, so that it would be hard to track his past losses, that were tied to his past names). they first thought he was 27-5, but then the commission caught him and found out he was actually 19-13.
