I was confused why the UFC kept giving Pereira matchups that were far below his level (Petroski, Potieria, etc.). Turns out he really is just a flashy can crusher, and Hernandez is no can.

Pereira is young and Hernandez isn't a slouch either. You don't go 9-3 in the UFC by being a can crusher. He's skilled; maybe not skilled enough to be Champion material, but skilled nonetheless

Perhaps unlike you, “a real UFC fan,” I’m well aware that the highest quality name on that win streak was a split decision win over 36-year-old Ponzinibbio. Do you even know how utterly embarrassing his debut was? Not to mention how pathetic his last performance was? He is not elite and will never be elite. End of story.

Anthony Hernandez is relentless, is not just his insane cardio but his fence wrestling and chain wrestling are so good, and he doesn’t just settle for controlling guys, he’s actively trying to beat you up with nasty elbows, and punches from the top position

Wrestling legs is useless nowadays. Body lock takedowns as fluffy employed work better. Charles Olivera also wrestles this way. Allen BJJ is top tier but he has zero cardio given how much bigger he's gotten.
