It was true tho. At first, the other commentator kept trying to make excuses for Conor, to the point where even if he was getting pummeled in 4k, he said it was a strategy to tire Khabib out. It wasn't a strategy, bro was just getting his face violently rearranged.

I'll never forget watching this fight live; the bar was packed, everyone was on their feet, you couldn't even hear the person next to you. The UFC went from an entertainment company to a global sports company with this fight. Absolutely jaw dropping.

Herb Dean was awful. Connor elbow the back of Khabib’s head while grappling, throw ilegal knees on the ground, grabbed the fence to stop getting down, grabbed Khabi’s gloves and fingers to stop a choke. This match was blatantly biased towards Connor because he was Dana’s boy and yet Khabib smashed him and got enough stamina to smash his team, what a legend.

I bet there were more than 50 legit fouls in this fight. If all you do is look for them, it's insane. It's almost like the UFC and Herb were trying to guarantee a win for their chosen one. Anyone who remains a fan of Conor after this have serious moral deficiencies. Including Irish Edmond, the one who enables Conor.

American comentators in a nutshell lmao half of Connors fame came from Americans all claiming theyre "off Irish ancestry" even if theyre a mixture of 16 different nationalities, never been to Ireland etc but anyways the minute an Irish fighter showed up he became INSTANTLY popular (like literally, the first and second fights he had in UFC the crowd went MAD while he was barely proven yet) and same applies for commentators lmao A LOT of them had a huge bias towards McGregor regardless of his skill.

That's only because Khabib wanted him to suffer for as long as possible. He made that quite clear in the pre-fight interviews. He could've ended it in the second round with a submission, but he decided to beat the shit out of him instead.

As funny as it is, he is right even Khabib admitted it. But only thing wrong he said was that it was Conor somehow doing it 😂 but it was Khabib who was half the round throwing massive shots at Conor round 2 purely out of rage and it kinda got him gassed so he took a round of in 3rd. And mind you Khabib could have easily got a sub by Kimura in round 2 also he had it.

Couldn’t agree more. Was working at a casino at the time that showed the fight in the 500 capacity auditorium. Was 1 of 3 people in the room rooting for Khabib. Almost got fired the next day because of how drunk and crazy I got because he won. Amazing night.

The fight which is so iconic, it almost rose above the UFC as a whole. Such an intense build up, hatred and two legends. I couldn't believe watching it live, that it was actually happening in front of my eyes. Khabib did a superb job, and he literally told Conor what he would do. In my opinion the very most impressing thing about Khabib and his legacy is rarely mentioned, if at all…Yes, he was undefeated, and arguably never lost a single round (that alone is a crazy AF) but never, not even once, did we see him bleed. Considering the fighters he fought, especially at the end of this career, it’s even more impressive. It can’t be said about any other fighter, at least anyone else I can think of. Not one single scratch, swelling in the face, no cuts, not a single drop of blood. Truly AMAZING! For any fighter at any level, with 29 professional fights, to not shed even one drop of blood…? Just UNREAL! That’s not talked about enough!

It looked very personal at the end. He yelled at Connor then threw his mouth piece at Connors coaching staff?? Or his family?? I'm not sure. I don't know the history between these two and who insulted who. I always liked Connor as a fighter but not as a person because he had a real foul mouth and loved to talk crap. Goes to show that no one stays on top forever. This Khabib guy is gonna meet his match one day. We will just have to wait for it. Sorry about the rant.

@@eds1512Basically, Connor talked shit about Khabib's dad. Who passed away because of Covid. I remember he also posted something on twitter like 'Covid is good and father is bad'. Kinda saying like, I'm happy your dad, your coach and support element is gone. In our religion we respect our elders and parents more than anything else. That's how that shit started and how it became this personal. Also he insulted his religion etc. It's a sport etc. Still I've never heard Khabib saying this kind of disrespecting stuff ever

In my opinion that’s one the very most impressing things about Khabib and his legacy. Yes, he was undefeated, and arguably never lost a single round (that alone is a crazy stat!) but never, not even once, did we see him bleed. Considering the fighters he fought at the end of this career, that’s even more impressive. It can’t be said about any other fighter, at least nobody else I can think of. Not one single scratch, swelling in the face, no cuts, not a single drop of blood. Truly AMAZING for any fighter at any level with 29 professional fights. It’s not talked about enough.

UFC at its peak is when there were no rules. Mid 90s. Tournament style. A fighter might have to fight 3 times in one night. That's when men were men. Dan Severn, Don Frye, Ken Shamrock etc. Call me a boomer, but those dudes went through a whole lot of punishment and made half or even a quarter of that these guys make now with all the rules.

They cut out a lot. Khabib after throwing his mouth guard at the corner, proceeds to climb the fence and send a flying kick at Dillon Danis. Khabib's team jumps in the octagon to kick the shit out of Conner. It was pandefuckingmonium.

The main problem for Conor was that he was so used to his trash talk distracting opponents and throwing them off their game, that he didn’t realize that it would have the exact opposite effect on Khabib. Had Conor been a GSP type and told Khabib that he respected him as a man, an opponent, and wished him good luck in their upcoming bout, Khabib would not have trained nearly as hard. Conor literally inspired Khabib to fight for his country, his people, his religion, his family, and himself. In a situation like that with an individual like that, Khabib won that fight before they even stepped into the octagon.
