GSP beat the UFC LW champion, the UFC WW champion, the UFC MW champion, the Strikeforce MW champion, the Strikeforce WW champion and the WEC WW champion. He beat literally every great WW from 3 different era's

GSP is the greatest WW the UFC has had by far. Its funny you bring up drug testing though when he retired at 32 y/o in 2013, and still in his prime, right when the UFC started to implement its much more serious and stringent drug testing policies. I'm not saying he was juicing, but if he was he got out of the game just at the right time because the UFC wasn't catching too many guys prior to 2013.

@@teriley123 GSP retired in 2013, the UFC didn't bring USADA until 2015, he came back in 2017, so yeah nice try. GSP was calling for better testing while he was fighting and he even did VADA testing for multiple fights way before the UFC hired USADA and VADA has way more stringent testing than USADA does.

Lance Armstrong 😂 The fact is the UFC only caught a handful of guys doping prior to the more stringent testing and have caught at least a 100 or 100's since. You're the one who brought up drug tests and I don't even think you know what you are talking about. From what I can tell he did VADA testing for the Hendricks fight only and had a hard fight and then retired. The fact is that almost nobody got caught doping in the UFC before GSP retired. So bringing up drug tests is just stupid and totally irrelevant to his legacy.

Two of my favorite fighters, so it was hard to root for one over the other. I just hoped for a fight that would make both of them look good, where people say "I want to see more of these guys." I think that is what we got, though it was a bit of a shame GSP never got back in the octagon.

A guy with one eye vs a guy who didnt like violence and hated every moment of it. To be tough is not to be fearless, is to have courage. To overcome a really hard situation with nothing but spirit. Whenever i feel like hiding under the bed for a situation I dislike, i think of this fight and the inspiration and the balls to face my fears come instantly. These two there are the personification of having balls in life

15:12 GSP realises Bisping is defending too well to finish the fight with GnP. He steps back and rolls Bisping's leg over while giving him enough space to start getting up. The millisecond Bisping stops defending and starts going with the roll GSP jumps on his neck. Great tactical stuff.

He wasn’t taking it personal when you have a cut like that the need to end the fight is definitely needed quickly. Bc a doctor can stop it at any time especially if the opp targets the cut to get a finish. All the same it goes in the loss column. Not to mention bleeding like that does a mental screw job on you along with if it’s in a bad spot like above the eye wear it makes seeing difficult.

GSP and Bisping are so good. GSP had a lot of criticism from not going up to this weight class, and Bisping made him earn that win. Those elbows were brutal, and from the bottom at that. Legends

GSP was too much. Years off, bunch of medical issues, went up a weight class straight to the champion and finished him. He owns his haters. Hats off to Bisping, he figured out how to deal with the top pressure nobody else seemed to be able to counter.

Nah, he lost the Hendricks fight then ducked the rematch. He then ducked Whittaker after this fight. Tapped to strikes against a LW in Matt Serra and cheated by greasing and missing weight against Nick. He never pissed hot because he ran away before USADA came and cleaned out his system before he came back. He also failed to finish 7 title fights in a row. A win is not a win, it's how you win. Greats don't struggle to do that.

That grease stuff is pretty dumb because he'd already been destroying Penn and taking him down whenever he wanted for the 3 rounds before it was on him, besides they even wiped him off with a towel before the round started. @@davidpineda9160 He wanted his last payday to be a legacy fight with Khabib. When GSP vacated the title, Dana said that GSP told him if he won, he would defend it. GSP vacated the title and then tried to get LW GOAT, Khabib to fight him at catch weight or Welterweight. Keep in mind, GSP reasoning was that Khabib had a similar walk around weight. It’s just like Jones saying he wants a legacy fight with Alex P. Because he also walks around with a similar weight. Amazing fans are forgetting or want to forget this especially with what’s going on today.

He was beating george on the feet and slicing him from the guard. George landed the perfect set up shot as Michael is very counterable when he throws some heavy shots

Gsp was outclassing him up until about 2 minutes to go in the second. But even then on the feet bisping was missing his combos that the commentary was acknowledging. He did beat him to the punch with his jab a couple of times tho and his work of the back was solid. He was winning round three but the commentary made it look a lot worse than it was just because gsp was breathing heavy

Just a reminder. GPS defended his UFC Welterweight belt for the 9th time in November 2013 and later vacated the title. And after 4 full years not competing he came back here on November 2017 and took the UFC Middleweight belt from Michael Bisping who just won it and defended it once the year prior. Then GSP retired for good.

He's not, though!. Lost the Hendricks fight then ducked the rematch. He then ducked Whittaker after this fight. Tapped to strikes against a LW in Matt Serra and cheated by greasing and missing weight against Nick. He never pissed hot because he ran away before USADA came and cleaned out his system before he came back. He also failed to finish 7 title fights in a row. Greats don't struggle to do that.

This GSP fight was kindaaaa like the current fraudulent Jon vs Stipe situation, with Whittaker/Romero being Tom Aspinall, but the difference is GSP wasn't an inmature egocentric bitch about it, and got out of the way almost inmediately to let the actual best MW's run the show, instead of locking down the division for 2 years and proclaiming himself the p4p number 1.

This is an MMA masterclass right here. Just both elite high-level fighters slugging it out. Bisping took the fight to GSP and definitely gave him a bad time. Bisping clearly had the message “if you want the title so bad then you’re gonna have to show you’re worthy of it”. But GSP still powered through. One of my favorite UFC fights!
