Please elaborate
@echonymbus1490
@echonymbus1490 16 күн бұрын
@@sincity5268 Jones was trying to kick Machida, probably to compensate for the speed disadvantage of his punches, and to try to fill the gap between him and Machida. Machida was very evasive, and if you were to step over to him and puch he would speed blitz you with his left puch. But Machida was still waiting for Jones kicks so he would use his temporary weight imbalance to reach him with his left. Jones couldn't move or get out of position when he was kicking. Jones recognized this pattern, and set up a counter: he feinted a kick, so when Machida stepped over to him with his left he could intercept him with a puch. Look a 9:31. It's like a small superman punch: he lifts his left leg and a fraction of second after he immediately puches Machida, destabilizing him and creating the occasion to choke him after.

Well if you remember between rounds his coach said he wants to blitz you after you kick, so fake the kick and throw a 9 or a blu(which I'm guessing is a left or a right or a punch or an elbow) so that's exactly what he did. It did look like a superman punch but he actually faked the kick and as lyota went for the blitz he threw the right hand which made it like a car crash. The beginning of the end. @@danheald935 Listening to Jones talk through it is really something. Jones said he noticed that every time he went for a kick, Lyoto would counter him, mid-kick, with a blitz of punches to the face. Nobody talking about the sound of machida desperatly trying to breath during that choke, shit was hauntingly beautiful.

Damn that finish was brutal, I really felt for Machida when he dropped like a sack of potatoes and seemed lifeless when he hit the ground

Prime Jon Jones was something else. In 2011 he fought 3x, first again Rua, then against Rampage and at last against Machida finishing all of them while he wasn't even 25 years of old.

I remember catching this fight live.. The crazy part about the ending was that i didnt even know Jon had him in a vicious choke hold. To add to that, what really fucked my head up was how within several seconds, Machita went from a master fighter, into a body being dropped...😮😮😮

That was the tightest guillotine I’ve ever seen Jon wasn’t being dramatic when he said he could’ve broken his neck there. Machida was out in 5 seconds.
