@@CharlieSerb Uncle Chael said "I was more juiced than a Tropicana bottle" during their fight and he still couldn't handle Jon's power. Literally everyone is running PEDs, it's just Jon was a moron and didn't get away with it. And for the record I *despise* Jon Jones, but using PEDs is a weak argument. A lot of all time greats start losing in the latter half of their careers and it looks like Jon will do whatever it takes to make sure he retires with a good record😂 He’s 36 btw and hasn’t done anything since he turned 32 around the age of all the legends he was beating..

@echonymbus1490
@echonymbus1490 Ай бұрын
@@sincity5268 Jones was trying to kick Machida, probably to compensate for the speed disadvantage of his punches, and to try to fill the gap between him and Machida. Machida was very evasive, and if you were to step over to him and puch he would speed blitz you with his left puch. But Machida was still waiting for Jones kicks so he would use his temporary weight imbalance to reach him with his left. Jones couldn't move or get out of position when he was kicking. Jones recognized this pattern, and set up a counter: he feinted a kick, so when Machida stepped over to him with his left he could intercept him with a puch. Look a 9:31. It's like a small superman punch: he lifts his left leg and a fraction of second after he immediately puches Machida, destabilizing him and creating the occasion to choke him after.

He got tired and slowed down and bam. After that he was fatigued and saw three Jon jones in front of him. There was zero figuring out lyotos blitz. Lyoto simply is too skilled at striking, hits to fast and hard with combos with amazing foot work and head movement. There’s no figuring out lyoto’s blitz because he isn’t timing it or looking for an opening, he just blitzes when he feels like it because there is nothing you can do to stop it.

It was a good fight but not enough to become new champ. Second fight shows that to be right decision. The Reyes fight I feel the same way, it was a good fight but challenger has to go out ans dominate to take the belt.. IMO

Well if you remember between rounds his coach said he wants to blitz you after you kick, so fake the kick and throw a 9 or a blu(which I'm guessing is a left or a right or a punch or an elbow) so that's exactly what he did. It did look like a superman punch but he actually faked the kick and as lyota went for the blitz he threw the right hand which made it like a car crash. The beginning of the end. lol he literally was the LHW champion not long before this fight & beat rampage .. also he fought many times at LHW & even fought at heavyweight once I think (not in ufc) . I guess Islam’s fights against volk don’t count & I guess since Charles used to fight at fw that one don’t count either .. oh yea if somehow Tom wins , it don’t count either cause Jon has been historically a LHW (by your logic) .. Jon’s resume is crazy & has many legends in it .. he’s the goat with or without controversy he’s the goat . Even if Tom wins , Jon would still be the goat cause of his resume & how great he was but I still got Jon (55/45) but I think obviously Tom has a good chance to win considering he’s younger and quicker & more power but Jon has way more fight IQ & experience plus he’s way more versatile than Tom ..

This fight was very Impressive for Jon. He was super young and green in the sport at this time. Machida was in his Prime. Jon stayed calm and was using his brain in this fight. Jons composure and ability to tap into his fight IQ during a fight is why he is the greatest. Most guys cant think straight in a battle. Not Jon. He is always thinking ahead.
