Lyoto may be smaller size than jones at 6’1 . But he’s insanely skillful and speedy . Sometimes smaller size can give you advantage too especially speed and being explosive . Lyoto has to be of the best strikers in MMA history . Jones adjustment for the 2nd round was a masterclass . We can learn a lot from this fight

He got tired and slowed down and bam. After that he was fatigued and saw three Jon jones in front of him. There was zero figuring out lyotos blitz. Lyoto simply is too skilled at striking, hits to fast and hard with combos with amazing foot work and head movement. There’s no figuring out lyoto’s blitz because he isn’t timing it or looking for an opening, he just blitzes when he feels like it because there is nothing you can do to stop it.

Thus far i settled all my fighs with words, a tight grab or legkicks lol, never fought a good fighter though.. the legkick fight was funny, the dude had no idea what to do. Well if you remember between rounds his coach said he wants to blitz you after you kick, so fake the kick and throw a 9 or a blu(which I'm guessing is a left or a right or a punch or an elbow) so that's exactly what he did. It did look like a superman punch but he actually faked the kick and as lyota went for the blitz he threw the right hand which made it like a car crash. The beginning of the end. This fight was very Impressive for Jon. He was super young and green in the sport at this time. Machida was in his Prime. Jon stayed calm and was using his brain in this fight. Jons composure and ability to tap into his fight IQ during a fight is why he is the greatest. Most guys cant think straight in a battle. Not Jon. He is always thinking ahead.
