Poirier displayed slick head movement combined with precise punching and deadly calf kicks. He was aptly prepared for this fight. Congrats champ.

Everyone was judging him on the basis of his demeanor and body language before the fight and saying that he is scared and not confident etc. People never seem to understand the fact some guys are just like that and don't like to be cocky and conceited; they present themselves as who they really are. Thus, it doesn't mean that they aren't capable.

@UFC MMA RECAPs everyone was obsessed with Conor's left hand, but Dustin rocked Conor his left and then landed some nice combos. Dustin has got some pretty heavy hands for sure.

Poirier is very educated look how he answered the questions anyone can see that he is an educated person not like McGregor trashes talking and no respect even for old people. Congrats Poirier, you are just a simple legends killer. Next trashes talker will be knocking out is Adesanya.

The most important change this man made in my opinion was his mental outlook. Most people let Connor get inside their heads and they were defeated before the fight. Another guy I think that could have beat McGregor but he does not have the right mind set for championship bouts, which surprises me, was Cowboy Cerrone. He always fought amazing until he made the championship and something mental held him back, is how I saw it. Great to see Dustin break the mental stranglehold and have the go for broke, Rocky 2 attitude.
