Definitely not. Especially with the camps behavior it seems.. Also Charles and team need to realize they already not UFC favorites with a non English speaking champ. It's just bad marketing. People love Charles but they really needed to push him to learn english like years ago (he's been in the UFC for over 10 years). It's just marketing 101 and these Brazilian guys need to understand this, that it makes you more marketable to the biggest audience. Anderson Silva was same could have been bigger. I mean just look at press conferences and interviews having to translate is tiresome and makes the fighter almost not as approachable, like a barrier there between.

There is just 2 downside of this : 1) people not giving enough credit to Islam. yes, credit to Volk for stepping in on short notice to save the card. but u gotta understand..Islam deserves credit too for saying yes in the change of opponent. He could of just said no & needs more time for a different style of opponent..but instead he said yes. 2) IF Islam do win in this rematch..salty fans would just say "Volk step up on short notice..thats why he lost"

2 weeks notice for the toughest fight and up a weight class is a pretty valid excuse to be fair. I'm sure both fighters would prefer this rematch under more equitable circumstances, but that still doesn't detract from the fact that Islam has the advantage here.

Volks is great in setting right camp for the fights. His study on opponent and strategy is so well. But accepting this fight on short notice, i doubt how he going to win this match. No doubt, he is master of this game and understands this risk much better than us. Let us hope that he opens up his aggression by 3rd-4th round... 🔥🔥🔥

Better for Charles anyway. He should fight him in the states, in Vegas or somewhere big! This is the greatest thing that could of happened for Charles. He wants to be champion again asap but Last year in Abu Dhabi Charles was just off from the time-zone difference, weight cut, jet lag etc… If he fights in the USA he can avoid all these things and be the best version of himself!

Got injured one day before he had to fly to Abu Dhabi, that is some professional level ducking from Charles camp, but I don't mind since UFC was rushing him into fighting in Abu Dhabi even when he mentioned he was not ready! Damn man, just last night I rewatched Volk vs Islam fight and it was really even but this time ion know if is going to be that tight since Islam had a full camp and with that Dagestani workflow and discipline he is going to come more prepared plus idk hows Volk with his hand and that surgery he metion in his last fight.. but I really hope he can pull this off for being a warrior and deserves to be double champ!

Love to see the fight isn't cancelled but whats the point of having Gamrot as the backup if your not even gonna make him your backup? Also seems a little unfair to Volk to come off the couch and take a fight on 2 weeks notice when you have this dude Gamrot whos been cutting weight and preparing this whole time. I just dont want to see the rematch soo soon and we had a chance at a fresh match up. Also Volk just got his fight with Illa announced they probably should have given the other lightweights a call first.
