He wouldn’t be half as rich. He needed to go to WWE first to become an attraction that sells tickets in UFC and then back to WWE again. Gotta protect the pampered little strikers or they might feel inadequate. No grounded knees, getting stood up, getting saved by the bell with rounds. So many ways grapplers are held back, you dont see them forcing the fight to the ground when they stand around and barely strike. Its just pathetic pandering to casuals really.

6:43. You start hearing the crowd saying "Set them up" while CLEARLY Frank was getting his face beaten to a pulp. Dude I swear back in the day people were looking for any and every excuse to hate on Brock. When I watched this match it felt to me, honestly, that people were REALLY sore that Brock, the "way too big to fight" guy had proven the entire world wrong, shut their mouths, and gotten the UFC World Heavyweight Title, so they wanted him to lose to Frank again. And the boos at the end despite him winning fair and square confirmed it at least to me

@newchannel416 yea that was also undeserved. At least Khalil was riding a recent 5 fight winning streak tho. The only NC Khalil has on his record is against Olek like 7 years ago. Lesnar hadn't won a fight in 8 years. The rightful contender at the time was Stipe. DC deliberately cheated to beat him the 1st time. it was borderline a fake win tbh. Had Jones or Conor been eye poked and KO'd it would've been immediately overturned to a NC. But because the ufc and fans like DC more than stipe everyone likes to forget that DC eye gouged stipe so badly multiple times that he had to undergo eye surgery to see again

Definitely my favorite UFC match. Brock learned to be patient after his first tussle with Mir and just kept the control. The ruthless pummeling in the end is fantastic. The footwork of Lesnar when Mir charged was incredible. Professional courtesy just wasn't there, it's not part of Lesnar's style. But touching gloves in the beginning and respecting the opponent after the fight is kind of the decent thing to do. I would not be yelling at Brock afterwards, though. He's still pumping adrenaline. Brock's a beast - THE beast, and switching off fight mode is not like flicking a switch. His physique is astonishing! Strong, heavy, fast, agile... Just - how?

I’ve always said I’d rather fight a Francis who’d knock me out in a punch, the get smothered by Brock. He’s huge and has the speed of a welterweight, also hits hard suffocates you. Holds you down and beats you until you tap, go out or the ref stops it. Unless you’re lucky and he subs you but that was only Shane Carwin.

Lesnar was a monster til he faced great strikers. His opponents were cherry picked & he never had to fight a striker until after he was champ. Lesnar ran when he started to get hit
@MrYellingdingo
@MrYellingdingo 3 ай бұрын
@ Not sure who you think was cherry picked. Outside of Herring, who stepped in for Coleman, everyone he fought was at the top of their game. Dos Santos wasn't even in the UFC until 2008 and had been fighting as a light heavyweight. Velasquez had only had 3 fights with a bunch of nobodies and wasn't a contender. Overeem wasn't in the UFC until 2011. Who exactly do you think he should have fought?
@sticktothefacts8905
@sticktothefacts8905 3 ай бұрын
@ Brock never had to face a striker until he won the title. He was cherry picked fighters who suited his style, Herring, Mir & Couture. And saying Mir was top of his game shows how little you know. This is post motorcycle accident Mir, he was never the same after that. Once he was put up against strikers, he just ran backwards like a chicken. So he was cherry picked not to have to fight a striker. Got it

@@sticktothefacts8905Mir was ar the top of his game, he had the best performance of his career after his motorcycle accident and before this fight against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

@kevthegoat8774 No, his best performance of his career was winning the undisputed title against Tim Sylvia by tapping him out in 50 seconds. He was never undisputed champ again after that.
