@@ronartest7748 When I say this, I am not saying it to take anything away from Lesnar, because I think he deserves respect for surviving that and coming back to win, but Shane Carwin basically blew his entire gas tank punching Brock in the first and had nothing left. He said himself that his body shut down on him and even though it might be tempting to say that is an excuse, if you look at his body language coming out in the second, he looks off. He clearly had nothing left. I suspect this was primarily due to the fact that he had never been out of the first round before this in his entire career.

You mean Frank Mir? Or Alister Overeem, or someone else who beat the shit out of Brock? like a Fight in a HighSchool bathroom. if we’re watching WWE, then yeah- Beast Incarnate. But in Reality, he loses way more often than he wins in the last full decade of MMA. & when he loses, he loses so fucking BADLY. He is literally & always STUMBLING & Fumbling ALL OVER the Octagon, after getting hit 4 times in the face. Your Beast Incarnate DOESN’T have a Good chin. Period. He’s like only just a few steps of Bob Sapp. Also, a beast, who Folds EVERY Single Fight when he takes 2-4 shots to the chin.

Carwin was injured and already old and was a part-time fighter; he worked full time as an engineer (he's actually highly intelligent). He had sledgehammer fists, and so he trained for a short fight, seeing that Brock wasn't a great striker - and Shane just about had him. But he blew his wad early, thinking he'd get a stoppage (which today, it would have been). When the bell rang for round 2 Brock still had plenty left in the tank, but it didn't take much, as Carwin was conpletely gassed due to a lactic acid overload, which gave him muscle cramps.

Had that been the other way around and Brock was pounding Carwin the ref would have done called it just goes to show you Dana wanted Brock to win . Don’t tell me the ufc doesn’t give more leeway to some fighters over others

Ahhhh the old good days of MMA, when it had a very remarked brawling component. Badass comeback from Brock, but any Ref in 2025 would've stopped that for Carwin to win in the first round, after so many unanswered shots
