Man I really became a fan of Leech after seeing how cool he is and nice of a man on embedded but I really feel for this guy. He would have had a big push beating Tony but not only did he have to fight someone that weighed in ten pounds heavier than him but also got robbed by the judges smh. Hope the ufc treat him properly both monetarily and in terms of not counting this loss. Hope he can climb his way but up to contention cuz the dude just seems like a really good person and a killer in the cage

I know bro leach is such an admirable guy. He’s so badass and a genuine dude if u understand Chinese as well. He could have really made a greater name and cheque for himself off Ferguson but he had that stolen from him. He fought way more dynamically against d rod as well. He couldnt go all the way and finish him, because the bigger dude is always way harder to put down, and u have to fight way more cautiously. He even had a bigger reach and all d rod really had against li was a jab. All that at the refs gave it to d rod. No disrespect to him though. He didn’t even get the chance to show off his suit

Li had the opportunity to make a bigger name and cheque for himself fighting Ferguson stolen from him. He doesn’t even get to show off his fire suit at the press conference, forced to fight a guy way bigger than him, actually went the distance and outfought the bigger dude, and they didn’t even let Li have the win. He fought much more dynamically as well. D rod only had a jab really. So much harder to take the bigger dude down. And also you have to be so much more cautious in your defence. My heart goes out to Li. Man did not complain one bit. Admirable. All that disrespect to him but at least all the fans respect Li. (I’m biased because I’m half Chinese keep in mind)

First he didn't get to show off his suit at the pre fight press conference Then he gets matched against a new opponent 10 lbs heavier And then after (in my opinion) doing enough - losing a split decision. We've all seen Dana play favorites plenty before, but I've never seen him so chill about a fighter missing weight and putting and entire card in jeopardy. I'm one of those "lunatics" that think something fishy was going on. He fuckin hates catchweight bouts. Has thrown away possibilities worth millions simply because the fights would have to take place as a catchweight bout. But this card had 3! And it just so happened to fall in place so that fights could be rearranged? Just seems odd to me. Chimaev clearly knew there would be zero consequences. Dana even suggests that he continues to fight at 180 lmao. Wtf is going on.

I wish someone had been more straightforward when asking Dana about Khamzat. Something like, “Dana, we’ve seen fighters cut from the card, champions stripped of belts over much less. Why was Khamzat’s situation treated differently? Was he fined, at least? Why was he allowed to keep his fight, keep his payday?”

khazmat was told to stop cutting weight by a UFC doctor. he said he could cut weight and was fine; no problem. UFC doctor forced him to miss weight. dont you undertand. ufc messed up and had to rebook the fights and make it look like a big fight occured to swap out the cards. fights were also very short notice.

Chimaev fought extremely well, I just really think it was a cheap "shot" in the beginning. As everyone can see Holland was going for a glove touch thinking Chimaev would do the same in a sportsmanship way, but instead Chimaev faked it and went straight for a takedown giving him an unfair early advantage right off the bat. It doesn't mean things would have not ended the way it did, but we will never really know now. If someone in a glove touch situation would have sucker punched to a complete KO his opponent instead of shooting for a takedown that eventually wins the match, I think people would have reacted differently... It's a shame...

Chimaev didn't fake a glove touch in my opinion, but I still get what you're saying, it was a cheap way to take him down. A lot of people are going to say "they touch gloves before the fight", which is true, but let's not pretend like we don't know that in almost 100% of the fights everyone always touches gloves at the start and at the end of each round, it's a little ceremony everyone goes through. Even if you don't want to touch gloves with your opponent, you can at least be classy enough to wait until he realizes it instead of shooting a fucking takedown on the guy while he's trying to be a good sport. It's just a shitty thing to do, it's like sucker punching someone. I get that the fight has already begun, but god damn, have some class, how can you be proud of hurting a guy when he has his guard down? That's not what martial arts is about. Khamzat is a beast but his attitude this entire week has been unbearable.
