I actually think the thing that started the hype was knocking out Till and the backstage “3 piece” he gave to Leon Edwards. That set up everything and snowballed. Turns out those wins were over opponents that were overhyped just like himself. A lot of luck involved in his rise to fame.

@Bob Saget No doubt. Everything came together perfectly for Jorge. The Darren Till fight and all of it’s drama sparked it all. Jorge KO’d Till in dramatic fashion in the UK in front of Till’s home crowd earning them both fight of the night and Jorge performance of the night on his first fight in a year and a half. Even more attention started after sucker punching Leon Edwards and he made the infamous Three piece and a soda comment that the media and fans ate up and honestly a big reason why Jorge got the fight with Ben. It all set up the perfect scenario with Ben, who like you said, had massive hype behind him and to add to it talked a lot if sh** to Jorge because he genuinely didn’t think Jorge stood a chance. That night sent Jorge’s career to a whole new level, a place 99% of fighters never get close to. I’m not sure that Jorge would have got the fight with Ben without the Till KO and all of the post fight drama that got more attention than the KO itself did. It certainly didn’t hurt.

there were a lot of sad little loudmouths spamming 4-0 pretending like all their fights weren't even close when everytime Izzy and Alex fight they just constantly get close to beat each other, it's so ridiculous that in the second fight Izzy almost slept Alex and then got slept himself, this fight Alex came close to sleeping Izzy and Izzy slept him.

The UFC won't the same without Dana. At one point he said he already chose his replacement and he currently grooming him to take over. That gave me hope that the UFC won't as a sport wont change but I don't think that anyone can really fill Dana's shoes.
