If the BMF title was on the line for Topuria vs Hollaway and it continued in a linear fashion then that means the FW champion would always be the BMF title holder as well as the FW title holder which makes no sense. It should put up for different fights, but it shouldn’t be passed on in a linear fashion. Basically there shouldn’t be a BMF holder or should it be defended. It should be a one time thing where a fighter wins it and it stays in their resume, but that’s it. If not it would only stay in one division unless the holder changes divisions.

There's always some matchups that you know which way it's going and then there's some that you just couldn't predict. I couldn't ever predict Khamzat Vs Usman because usman's wrestling is far better than most, despite division and he has crazy knockout power that can come out at any time. When you look at robs skillset. He really doesn't have any of the things that Usman has. Think back to khamzats fight with Gilbert burns. He chose to stand and trade and got hurt because of it. He chose to take Gilbert down at some points but it was up to Khamzat where that fight went. His coach was angry at him for doing that during the fight and he's never done it again. There was no chance that Khamzat wasn't going to get right into rob and shoot. Take him down and end the fight as fast as he could. You only have a punchers chance of you have crazy KO power and the other guy chooses to stand and bang. There was no chance he was going to do this. He wants to win and make money. This is the best way for him to do that. He will never stand and bang again as long as he isn't forced too.

I think Dana is just a completely cynical entrepreneur who gives zero fucks about long term harm coming to people he signs. There are plenty of countries that don't have the "western" set of values and consider it OK for people to basically cripple themselves for the sake of entertainment and if Dana can make tons of money over that, he will. Sure, almost all sports are harmful for the human body when done at the highest level but there is obviously a difference between fucking up your back over many seasons of playing tennis or something and getting brain damaged over one ridiculous slapping contest - but recognizing that and also implementing measures that protect stupid people from not recognizing it is something that only countries that are well developed in terms of human rights can do.
