The problem isn't the free tickets, it's the fact you can enjoy UFC more if you saw it on your TV then sitting in the top of the arena w/ binoculars. I'd brag about tickets 5-7 rows away from the Octagon usually those tickets go 200$ each.

Ive been stationed overseas for 3 years now but my stateside return is on the horizon and I cant wait to see my first UFC live and in-person! You people who are complaining, knocking the UFC, and putting Dana down are idiots! With 3 days left, most (if not ALL) of those tickets would have sold out. Even if the seats weren't the best, those tickets were probably worth $50+ each. So Dana gave the fans a $15,000 Christmas gift. I think that was very generous.

Having paid for many tickets over x years, I'd prefer they cut ticket prices, rather than giving them to people who are cheeky/rude enough to just ask (something I could never do), or queue all day when I've already bought ticks. Giving away 100s of tickets is great too, but not when ticket prices on the upper deck of the O2 for example, have gone up 300%, from £25 to £75, since the Hendo vs Rampage fight. £50 for the back row of the MEN but if you hang around you can get better seats free?
