Ref helped Bang to get that record. He stopped it a lot faster in that fight, which made all the difference. No matter, good for Bang,

@iDjGio I agree, but then, there might be different opinions on when each knockout happens. Also it is not always 100% clear when the fighter is knocked out. Ufc might have to replay each fight and make sure the time is right.

I knew something was up with that fight from 1st fight from Ultimate Fight Night 3. Two other great bouts before then had fast times: UFC 8 David Vs. Goliath 2/16/96 - Don Frye defeated Thomas Ramirez (:10) & UFC 38 Brawl At The Hall 7/13/02 - Mark Weir defeated Eugene Jackson (:10).

And actually, Ludwig/Goulet fight should have been stopped a couple milliseconds fasters, since the ref had to take like 3 strides to get close enough to stop it... whereas the other ones the ref was close enough to stop it almost instantly after the KO occurred.

Remember, boxers have to go many more rounds on their feet than mma. All that movement gets tiring after a while. And upon reflection, I regret the comment i made about tolerance for pain, that was a stupid thing to say. And trust me, I wrestled collegiant, greco and freestyle for eight years, and know how tiring it is to execute a takedown and sprawl. But boxers have to have enough gas to last 12+ rounds, which, in my opinion, shows they have top notch cardio

OFF-TOPIC: i dont really care about SOPA as long as it doesnt interfere with the downloader. i pay my internet bill and should have free access to whatever is on it. ON-TOPIC: give credit where credit is due. and dont complain about the ref stopping a fight too soon or too late. they do their best to make sure that each fighter has opportunity to defend themselves and that they dont get killed.

You guys should record the time until each fighter knocks the other one unconcious. Because if not then then it's entirely dependant on the ref which isn't fair for the fighters.

the thing is, the guy ludgwig k.o wasn't out, he got up right after the stoppage, mainly a tko stoppage.. i dont know, never was on the duane fastest k.o bandwagon.
