Good to see Vaughan Lee of UTC signed to the UFC for 138 in the UK. He's the guy in yellow breaking the submission record at about 6:59 in this video blog. He can also be seen at FIGHT UK MMA you tube page last month putting on a submission in one of the bouts in his current win streak that may have contributed to this.

Some amazing content in here, hope you make a point of putting more of that post fight hallway content onto dvd's or somewhere. Also the TUF tryouts were interesting enough to make it into the show somewhere. Would love to see the next phase where they use gloves.

@carlsongracieteam What was that Brazilian guys record? im sure there's a few guys that have good references to get ahead but I remember Jon Fitch not getting picked for the first show and I think the second as well. Who knows, maybe the Brazilian guy only fought submission comps not mma fights.

Damn I wish we got to see a little more behind the scenes action for TUF on TV... i love this stuff.

@gunfighterdrummer THANK YOU! Finally someone knows what MMA is all about! Its not just stand-up brawling back and forth. Yeah, thats fun to watch and all, but where is the "Mixed" part of Mixed Martial Arts in that?

Great Blog..Cool to see Corey Hill, he always seemed like a cool guy. Guy in the yellow was showing some smooth floating jitz but then again we dont know how good his opponent was. Nevertheless he has skill....Wow!!! Clay Guida sleeping, didnt think it was in him.

At 9:22 that is Jimy "The Kid" Hettes. His over all record is 11-0 with 10 1st round submissions and 1 in the 2nd round. I hope he makes because he is an absolute beast! Jimy also said that the guy he was about to grapple with was about 190 lbs. Dana asked him if he was 145 and he said ya. LOL. You can tell he is not.

@sprays18 You mean Vaughen "Lee" Harvey (That what came up when I googled). Thanks for the name, I was about to ask for it. I expected his record to be near perfect, but I still hope he'll make it to the show.
@drewfla14 жыл бұрын
@blood283 Wait, how do you know he didn't make it through? If that's the case there must be some very impressive guys there because Vaughn looked incredible!

@RatedRkoLegacy520 Things like the achilles tendon are really exposed in the leg and guys tend to put too much force into them just because a leg is stronger than an arm. The pain comes on really quick and tapping can be too late if you aren't careful.

Woowww, the Swedish guy is a monster, I can't believe he cuts to 145. Like Dana said he should be fighting as a welterweight. And that guy in yellow is so sick!
@AmaziinqVids14 жыл бұрын
@loves2sploosh because this is the tryouts four tuf 14. you watched tuf 13 which is 170lb not 145.

@kronker in a lot of grappling competitions your are not allowed to slam, and different rules apply to different organizations as well.. you gotta adjust... now this guys are also used to kick and hit, but they could hold themselves from doing it now, didn't they...

"you weigh 180 right now", "yeah with clothes" "oh with clothes I'm sorry" the level of sarcasm from dana haha

awesome grappling.. Dana you should do an ULTIMATE STRIKE FORCE FIGHTER FOR WOMAN.. since ufc and strikeforce are now together.. I'm sure there are plenty of woman fighters that would love to be come the next ultimate strikeforce fighter.. since there is no woman fighters in the UFC..
@allroundp4p14 жыл бұрын
@youngflymista didn't it seem strange that Shogun didn't even make ONE leg kick!? one leg kick?!? Nothing that Jones did could've prevented Shogun from doing a leg kick (or whatever other kick for that matter)... Pretty strange..
@GrilliamG14 жыл бұрын
@Azreck That's the weight they walk around at, both Silva and Alves probably diet down to about 200/185 respectively, and then cut that weight. The only guy I've heard of cutting 20+ pounds is Anthony Johnson, and he's been 5+ pounds over the weight limit twice because of it.
@oman011514 жыл бұрын
@TrannysoreassRex I love people like you, you brighten up my day and ease my insecurities about my own idiocy! Shogun is not a Pride failure, neither in Wanty, Nog, Mirko, Fedor.. & on, people get older, lose what they had in their prime, and hey in MMA fighters also lose! Shogun lost to a beast, he's as far removed from a failure as you'll find, Shogun is a Warrior and ten times the man you are buddy! God Damn I hate idiots who've blatently never fought degrading guys who deserv total respect!!

@signboyy I think they were being respectful and giving him space. It was a brutal fight for him i doubt he wants to stop and chat to people; just get to his locker room and take a breather. He'll be back though, anyone else would have been knocked out from that 1st flying knee or the shin kick to the face, but Shogun kept fighting! Heart of a champion.

Guy in the yellow is Vaughan Lee. Trains at UTC Birmingam, England. BEAST!
@JimboSlice2714 жыл бұрын
@ThereIsAHeavenX oh, i completely agree that reach isnt everything. i was just saying what stupid reasoning it was that jones should move to heavyweight because he has such a huge advantage in the light heavyweight division. and its probably these people that believe that weight cutting isnt hard, its easy to knock someone out, bjj/wrestling isnt hard ur just laying there... (not u btw in case u thought i was insulting u).

For those who talks about "the big 180 guy", here's some info for you. last 4 mma-bout took place @145 and 155lb. last run at the European sw cs was at 142lb. His name is Martin Svensson, google it or look him up on sherdog if you want.

@BigGee614 they do but they don't pay too much attention till after the grappling session, as dana said in the video after the grappling they'll send people off and then the people that make it through hit the pads then they'll get rid off more people then to interview ultimately the only thing that was holding him back was the record as he looked good on the pads as well.
