Great to see Jose Aldo in the UFC. Awesome of Dana White to cover Nam Phan, as he so won the fight. I like Nam and love watching him fight. I just wish he would unleash more with punches and go for a knockout; I think he could be a killer. He better be back for fight soon!

@ssflip i actually really agree with that .... fedor is spent ..overeem would be a great addition , but overeem will want to do all the K-1 stuff tho , that could be a problem ... he looked great in the rogers fight and has the experience . was there not a clip of him with dana at a ufc event ? could happen when his shiteforce contract is up ..

@chilly162 I know he's been in the UFC, fought GSP at 170 back in the day, but he almost choked out Sheilds, if the time didn't run out he'd be the strikeforce middleweight champ right now, I think he'd be a welcome addition into the roster.

@iwantsher Mayehm fights at Middleweight in Strikeforce. WEC has nothing but lightweights on down. And this past Saturday on the Ultimate Fighter Finale UFC fans got a taste of the WEC as a number of the fighters on the card were from the WEC, including Leonard Garcia.

Congrats to Jonathan Brookens,he deserves all the success he gets.

we all know how Dana White says don't leave it in the judges hands but two of the judges crossed the line when they gave the fight to Garcia. I seriously hope that the two jugdes who gave the fight to Garcia are reviewed and forced to more training in judging MMA fights. It's awesome that Dana did that for Nam Phan, anyone who watched that fight knew who the real winner was, i couldnt believe it when I heard the decision.

@kylestaff I agree. Could have been some hesitation on Nam's part while he could have gone in for the kill in the 3rd. BUT.... you cannot say that if you lost that fight, you would be satisfied. Nam won that fight hands down 100% even if a little hesitant, he still won. Nevada Athletic Commission needs to clean up their act. It's really making them look bad from an MMA perspective and from a professional perspective also. Its not the first time they have come under fire.

i was shocked at how much michael johnson got better at his stand up but jonathan brookins didnt get any better imo his stand up looked just as stiff as it did on the show and his punches are just arm punches he needs to learn some basic boxing quick before his next fight or im sorry to say he will get knocked out against somebody with takedown defense and that wont gas out like michael johnson did i hope he gets better because i was rooting for him and i hope he does well in the ufc

@Antix Aggression that does no damage is not counted. Garcia was just swinging wildly 95% of the fight. That is not what counts as points. Dana White had Nam as the winner, Joe rogan too, the crowd too, every single person saw that Nam had won the fight....except Gacria, the judges, and you apparently.

Nam should have got the decision, but at the same time, he could have showed moore tenacity to finish garcia when he was so gassed. garcia had octagon control and was pushin forward the whole time, lot of judges count that big time

@JonMon360 Jason told me that the UFC tells him he can't do a lot of the silly things he likes to do. So unless he gets to do what he likes he dosen't want to fight for the UFC.

@Feralig Rnd1 was close but Nam probably edged Garcia out. Garcia did go for bigger punches. Rnd2 Garcia gets a takedown and cuts Nam, but Nam controls the last 3min so he easily gets that round. Rnd3 Garcia is completely gassed, but he still throws and lands more punches and even when he loses exchanges he continues to be the aggressor. Nam does start to land more clean shots at the end of the round though. Again, Nam won, but rnd1 was close and rnd3 were closer than Rogan made them out to be.

@fescolfaro that's not the way the sport works. the UFC is the 'NHL' or 'NFL' of Mixed Martial Arts. it's the biggest league and supposed to attract the biggest and best MMA fighters in the World. it's not in the UFC (or NFL, NFL, MLB etc.)'s best interest to have cross-promotional/league play, that's why it doesn't happen in any sport (exhibition matches maybe, but not legitimate league matches).

I did not see the finaly live I just saw the results and when I saw the nam phan fight I could not see how he lost and i was mad for him, that sucked

@venger Well I hope they don't give it to him. He clearly won and the the UFC seems to feel the same way so instead of wasting time with a stupid rematch they should give him a tougher opponent like he would have received if he beat Garcia...since he did.
