Sandhagen is a mssive step up in competition for Umar. If he does beat him, that will reflect very well on his actual talent. Cory has fought the who's who of the bantanweight division, and Umar has yet to face even a top 10 guy as far as I know. I doubt this will be an easy fight for Umar. But if it turns out to be, then he can probably go all the way.

End of the day it's all about the money. If it was strictly professional sports it won't sell. Money is needed for planning events, venues, fighters contracts etc. The least fighters can do is put on a show. Sandman does deserve a title shot.

Bad take. Cory is super technically proficient. Jiri is wild, awkward, and vastly less skilled than Cory. Once Pereira had figured out the awkward timing Jiri stood no chance because his defense is basically non-existant. They couldn't be more different as fighters.
