Not me. In my head, I usually get a chest to chest body lock, or over/under. Then I use my right foot for an outside trip backwards. If i can't get the trip I switch to a hip toss, or just drag them down into half guard or side control. Then I put the top of my head in their jaw and nose, or start looking for short little elbows. I like to hug that side control CLOSE to the chest. This plan is for non wrestlers and hay maker throwing cavemen. In my head of course. I would never grind my elbows into a drunk guys eyebrows after he shoulder bumped me in a 711 doorway, using the asphalt as a cushion for the back of his head. I'd literally never do that, cause I can't fight for shit, and it's in my head.

It also speaks to how controlled his movements and emotions are during the fight. Most of the GOAT’s in combat sports have this superhuman ability to remain calm and collected in their fights: Fedor, Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, GSP, Khabib (except with Connor but only after he knows the fight’s over), etc.. Even a wild beast like Tyson fought in very controlled but fierce manner during his prime.

@@UteroGaming yes his flexibility was the highest. It also initially enabled him to have a lethal leg strike to the face when anyone sat on top of him and tried to punch and elbow him to death. The heel in the face blow was almost certain knockput, but inexplicably the MMA banned the move as illegal! What? Apparently its less dangerous for bigger people to sit on top of ypu and pummel you to death slowly. The latter is boring and disastrous for brain damage, so what is MMA doing here?9

The way he hits with surgical precision is just mind blowing. When Silva gets into that mode he goes into he makes any fighter he’s up against look like an amateur even other champions. Anderson Silva is the GOAT over everyone in my eyes. He tarnished his legacy in the end so people forget his achievements. He has the longest streak in UFC history. What’s more impressive, he went up in weight multiple times and had crazy success. He has 10 title defences, which is the second of all time. Technically, he should be tied for number 1 but one of his opponents missed weight. People can say what they want, but GSP ducked Silva. Silva was a beast.

I would argue he didn’t even tarnish his legacy really. He just dwindled with time, but still hasn’t given up the combat sports game, truly a 1/1

He’s a goat. Not the goat. Jon Jones is THE goat. Look at Jones title reign and who he beat after he won the title. He beat 5 former champs in a row and then went on to dominate and destroy his generation of fighters. He beat Ryan Bader in route to a title fight a man who recent was a duel weight champ in Bellator. Jon is the greatest to ever wear 4 ounce gloves and be made it look easy. Every rematch he had he destroyed his opponent and left no question who was the clear winner. Anderson is without a doubt top 3 greatest ever with Jon and GSP. Those 3 men are the epitome of perfection and no one will ever come close to what they have accomplished.

Agreed. The spider humiliated every1 on stage in his peak years. He danced in front of oponents, it was insane. Its hard watching him losing nowadays, but considering what he did from 2006 to 2013, he is the GOAT. The pelé of ufc. Even Dana White and Joe Rogan already said, he is the GOAT.

The octagon was a canvas, and Anderson Silva was our artist. Every fight he had was nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece.
