if you look at all his fights, jose aldo is known for being more cautious on using kicks on fighters who constantly try to takedown and will usually hold back from using them as much. When aldo is actually fighting a fighter who will stand with him, he will unload the most vicious leg kicks and will not hold back. Not to mention, the execution of his strikes are extremely fast. We all know mecgregor likes to keep it standing so you can bet aldo will bring his vicious kicking game into this fight. We've also learned that fighters in the past have had success on exploiting connor with leg kicks. lets do something crazy and take a look at the aldo's technical aspects for a moment. (don't read if you're not interested in the actual stand up game) Aldo's kick game. 1) when he counters in the pocket, he counters with volume ending with leg kicks. (opponents typically expect a single counter but aldo counters with punches and kicks in volume) 2) when opponents retreat away, he unloads leg kicks and kills their balance. (opponents retreating can't check, as result, they eat the kicks and get thrown off balance) 3) when he throws combos, he adds leg kicks. (one of the fundamentals of kicking is that you'll increase your chance of landing by throwing in volume) In short, he kicks in a way where the opponent can't check, or in a way that makes it too hard to check. aldo poses the biggest threat stylistically to mcgregor's stand up game. Mcgregor also poses a huge threat. He constantly moves forward, very elusive with footwork, and uses effective striking and countering.

What does Mcgregor have that Aldo doesn't? Aldo won't get submitted because he train with the best of the best submission artists. He won't lose the decision because he has too much experience vs high caliber fighters that are agressive, and he dominates them on the scorecard. I doubt he will KO him w/ a leg kick because Mcgregors legs will be broke as fck, since Aldo is known for the best leg kicks ever in MMA, and won't punch knock out him because Aldo has insane boxing, and an insane chin for exchanges, and is tough as nails. Aldo just laughs at Mcregor because he thinks no one will put up a better performance than Mendes to him. Mcgregor will not beat Aldo. If you disagree, please come up on how a way he is better, and why, add details, tell what Aldo doesn't have.

Dennis Siver is nearing the end of his career, in his late 30's, and ranked 10th. If Connor would have had a performance like that against Frankie Edgar or Chad Mendes then I would be impressed.
