What are you on about? It's barely changed since 2006. If you said '96 you might be correct but the formats, presentation and overall production hasn't changed. Polish doesn't count as change. Hell, the MMA "style" has been established since ~'03. Seems more like you're trying to project knowledge/involvement where there is none.

The technique is better now. And weight classes. I just think the feel of the fight wass better back then. You just did not know who would last till the end. It was always a thing to debate as the fights progressed.

Back in the 90s when movie rentals were a thing my brother and I were very into WWF and my dad used to take us to the local video rental every weekend he had us. After how long we had watched all the WWF vhs they had and we saw this “UFC 1” on tape and rented it thinking it was like Japanese WWF. I was probably 5-6 at the time and I turn 37 this August. It’s been a long time since watching ufc with me really getting serious about the sport around the Tim Silvia/Andre Arlovski saga and it’s been a wild fucking ride since. My all time favorite sport. ❤

Yamasaki was the worst well-known referee in the UFC. I'm shocked he lasted for so long before they finally cut him loose. He's probably responsible for multiple cases of CTE, or at minimum helped expediate the development in many fighters. What a dingle berry.
